I thought it might be useful to have a thread for cards that are great for certain archtypes.
This one is for the Lamb decks. These decks produce tokens then use them for powerful sacrificial effects. These decks also are conducive to hordes, so some spells like Overrun are also included.
Also, Night soil is better than necrogenesis at GY hate, and costs less to make a token. Plus, the removal of the creatures is a cost, so the cost can't be responded to.
im confused as to how random convoke cards have anything to do with tokens. cards that randomly have to do with many creatures really arent token cards. i think you should im really not sure how cards like ingot chewer and shreikmaw have anything to do with the token archtype.
1)cut it down to top 10 or 15 of each color
2) combine multicolred combinations into "multicolored"
3)separate section for generals

Not to be defensive, but as a deckbuilder, this is a format that would be useful to me. So here is my reasoning why I took this approach:
These aren't random Convoke cards, they are ones that I have had good results with in my lamb decks. Giving tokens a secondary function beyond chump blocking is what Lamb decks are all about. (Granted, some of the most powerful functions are usually sacrificial.)
187 creatures are particularly good for lamb decks because they can occupy a spell slot and give you a lamb. Again, I have had good results with these cards in my decks.
In response to the numbered items:
1. I don't see a benefit to cutting this list down to an arbitrary number. The idea is to limit by archtypes and good results*, to spark ideas for deckbuilders. There's already a top 25 list and it has a different function.
2. I can do that if it matters to people. This seemed simpler to me, since most generals can't use all multi-colored cards. If people want to see this, that makes less typing for me.
3. The seperate "section" for generals is what constitutes 99% of the threads in this forum. If players want to get ideas for Numot, they go to a Numot thread. If they want to focus their deck to a theme beyond goodstuff or what other posters suggest, then these threads might be helpful.
* Not all of these cards are ones that I have tested, as some are suggestions from others. A few are ones I eyeballed and made decisions comparing to very similar cards I have tested. The majority are ones I have in my decks.
my point was more that the list is kinda confusing to look at. the list has like 3 here, 4 there, 17 right under it.....its hard to look at.
i know that theres a list for top 25 cards per color but that doesnt help with building around tokens.
im still confused as to the place of the cards i mentioned above like shriekmaw, ingot chewer.....

They have a spell effect yet produce a body for sacrifice/Convoke/Conspire.
For instance, I usually run about 4 slots for Naturalize effects. I might swap one of those out for a Viridian Shaman.
