I have been dabbling in the grandest of sciences: Izzet Spells! I want to make a multiplayer (casual, normal rules, not EDH or anything) deck that basically cheats instants and sorceries into play without casting them (eg. by using Galvanoth and Melek, Izzet Paragon)
Any Suggestions on Direct damage burnspells/overpowered instants/sorceries to use?
Thanks!

I have a question: if I was to use a few Kiln Fiends, and have cast, say, two spells already, so they have +6+0, what happens if I cast Dragonshift overloaded? Do they retain the buffs or do they become 4/4 dragons with no buffs?

4/15/2013 Effects that modify the power or toughness of an affected creature, such as the effects of Phytoburst or Legion’s Initiative, will apply to it no matter when they started to take effect. The same is true for counters that change the creature’s power or toughness (such as +1/+1 counters) and effects that switch its power and toughness.
Based on the Phytoburst comment it appears that they retain the +3/+0 even though I would guessed otherwise. I'd ask the rules forum though just in case.
Woah!, that's a pretty good combo. I also have one more question. In the case of me using Melek, Izzet Paragon, if I were to cast a card like Banefire and I paid, say I was lucky, 15 as the value for X, would the copy effect from Melek, Izzet Paragon copy the spell including the X value I paid?

Yes, copying an X spell with Melek, Izzet Paragon would copy the value of X. Just be aware that casting X spells with the card you mentioned in your first post (Galvanoth) would cause those X's to be 0 since you're casting without paying the mana cost so the Melek copies would also be 0.

Just to give a definite answer, yes, the +6/+0 stays and applies atop the 4/4 base power/toughness set by Dragonshift. In fact, casting Dragonshift gives you yet another trigger, which will resolve before the spell, so the Kiln Fiend is a 13/4 in the end (4/4 plus +9/+0).

Too expensive or...? The card reads "you win the game" for 9 mana since you also get a vote.

"The card is too expensive" is always a reasonable excuse. I'm only trying to stop "the card isn't good enough" people :P.

@Rezzahan This is going to be an interesting deck to be certain. A set of 3x Kiln Fiend paired with all these spells... as I said, Izzet Bliss...
