So... Omnispell Adept, any instant or sorcery for only 3 mana. And sorceries as an instant.
I think it’s great and will do legendary things. (Like a Living Death during an attack.)
Any thoughts or evil advice on it?

In magic there's Harry Dresden, Fizban, Sethra Lavode, Dorotea Senjak and me...
My meta: 3 or 4 player free for all, anything goes but boring games or broken decks cause a vote to end that game.
Pair it with Paradox Engine and Gilded Lotus to cast all the instants and sorceries you want. If enough of them are draw spells, you can chain together tons of spells.
The card is too expensive, vulnerable and slow to ever become a staples but it's also silly to dismiss something that that 2-card combo off of cards like Time Stretch and Enter the Infinite. It doesn't have haste but that can be circumvented with Shallow Grave style effects so even if it dies on turn 5 you can still Shallow Grave (insert any Hasty reanimation spell here) + activate the following turn for the win. That's something. Looting is often desirable in these shells to begin with given that turn 1 Faithless Looting into turn 2-3 Mizzix's Mastery on Enter the Infinite is already an easy way to win games.
Thanks.
I didn’t mean to suggest it’s going to be a staple.
I did want to draw attention to the pretty unique effect and, to a lesser extent, check if I gauge it correct.
I’m going to run some to see how they do.
Maybe in a “copy instants and sorceries” deck.

The issue with Omnispell isn't the mana cost, but that he has to tap to activate. Your bottleneck is going to be either him dying before you can activate or finding a way to untap him repeatedly if you are trying to combo.
That being said we are starting to see a critical mass of cast instants/sorcery spell for free cards. Mizzix's Mastery, Spelltwine, Omnispell Adept. I could easily see a grixis shallow grave reanimator type build since they share a lot of similarities. Or a temur version that has ramp + cheaty cards in order to have a back up plan.
I agree with Genini on this one. The activation cost isn't there issue here. The 5 CMC + must untap + threat of activation to incite removal etc. are the drawbacks of the card. After all, it can literally win the game on the spot against any number of adversaries once you activate it so the activation cost is largely irrelevant assuming that it's cheaper than the creature's CMC. Not "totally irrelevant" since it leaves you with more mana for permission and such but not great by any means.
Considering blue has access to High Tide to drop bombs, this card seems flaky.
Summoning sickness makes this card a touch too expensive for what it does, although to be fair, a dying-trigger or ETB-trigger would be too powerful.
For me this card looks like an EDH option, I can't think of a single constructed deck that might want 4 of these.

What are the big spells to play though. I can think of Time Stretch, Enter the Infinite, Clone Legion

Three guesses at who plays Jhoira of the Ghitu in EDH ;).

I'm ok with "5 mana, 1 card, you win the game" not being legal :P.
