Hello again everyone, back with another deck requiring some help to make it more powerful
I am wanting to build a blink deck for multiplayer that focuses around Venser, The Sojourner and Gilded Drake
I don't usually like planeswalkers for MP but this seems like an absolute no brainer with the Drake for the bouncing ability which is unlike Brago and/or eerie interlude. I'm just not confidant that I am building this correctly and this is where everyone else's suggestions help
No real budget constraints as we have a large card pool to dig through and good cards can be traded for or purchased if they make sense, but I always like options on either end of the spectrum. We follow a mix of Vintage/Legacy list, kind of hard to explain. Probably no infinite combos but I do like to hear of them and decide if my meta would be OK with it
I know it's 8 walls. Is that too many? I do need early defense or I will get run over. There isn't backbreaking combo unless someone gets pissed at someone else, then this deck isn't going to win anyways
There must be something that I dont understand... What is so great with Venser + Drake? Why is it any different than with Brago?
Brago can only blink stuff you control. Once you exchange control of the Drake with something, you no longer control it.
Venser on the other hand can blink anything you *own*. Once you give away the Drake, you no longer control it but you do own it. Which means you steal something, blink Drake with Venser, and steal something again.
Mistmeadow Witch - It's a slow flicker, so you can use it to let creatures dodge mass removal
Eldrazi Displacer - a bit harder to activate since it needs colorless mana, but also good for keeping attackers away from you and opens up an opponent's defense at the same time. Should be nice for politics.
To me the deck looks good. I don't really have any good suggestions for it... But I do have a suggestion: Reality Acid. Its kinda slow and requires blink support to work, but it can also wreck any permanent and its acid that melts reality so that is a bonus.
Hah, another fun little trick. I think I need to find some space for that card as well. Great stuff everyone. Would Solemnity work with the card too
As per a suggestion above by Rezzahan, I might run a single copy of Mistmeadow Witch too
Unfortunately, no. Solemnity shuts down vanishing. I actually tried to built a deck around the idea of abusing that, though hardly any vanishing remained in the end. Since the permanent does not enter with time counters due to Solemnity, you cannot remove any and thus cannot remove the last to trigger the sacrifice. So the permanent remains indefinetely.

So what you are really saying is the deck needs a free Free Sac Outlet but that isn't the easiest way to be cheeky
Better off to stick to the game plan of just blinking and letting the card do it's work

Aha, I forgot about this card. That is a good recommendation

Puca's mischief seems pretty exciting, swap creatures, blink with Venser, get the creature I swapped back right?
