That's fair. While I'm not in love with the card I don't mind having a couple of copies to act as tricks and enablers. Assuming that you have Chamber + Monument it's still 2 mana for 2 tokens which is often passable and the ability to "save" things like Kor Skyfisher and Whitemane Lion is definitely an asset in removal-heavy metas.
I wanted to check on this thread because my friends and I are planning to have a twenty dollar deck tournament.
What is the most effective build of this deck? When I was working on it, the deck floundered to removal and fast ramp strategies, but I didn't try adding Blue or Trading Post.
Gave Board the Weatherlight a shot. It's 52% to find a combo piece and you can add things like Ancient Den to bump it to 68%. The problem is that you're not actually happy to find anything other than a combo piece so the added "hits" don't actually count for anything in practice. The card is cheaper than Enlightened Tutor but it's not very good :/.
I decided to add a "go big" card to the deck and landed on Anointed Procession. Pretty much anything works but when you're converting 1 mana into four 1/1s your opponents don't need to scoop because they literally die 3 circuits later.

I've been following this thread for a while, I like it, and I've been testing a few things too.
Anointed Procession as your *go big* makes sense.
I've tried out Jazal Goldmane, Mirror Entity, instant-speed white pump & Cathar's Crusade with mixed results.
Whilst Jazal can be insane, Mirror was often enough to create havoc, but I might try out a green splash for some Parallel Lives (I don't own AP).

Just the usual suspects. Swan Song, Ponder, Brainstorm, Trophy Mage, Fabricate, Thirst for Knowledge, Manifold Insights, etc. Less fluff, more consistency, you get the idea.
Guilds of Ravnica - Commander 2018 - Core 2019 - Battlebond - Dominaria - Rivals of Ixalan - Ixalan - Commander 2017 - Hour of Devastation - Amonket - Aether Revolt - Commander 2016 - Kaladesh - Conspiracy 2 - Eldritch Moon - Shadows Over Innistrad - Oath of the Gatewatch - Commander 2015 - Battle for Zendikar - Magic Origins - Dragons of Tarkir
Green - Blue - Red - White - Gold
Would it be viable at all in that format?

Has anyone tried the Saffron Olive version?

Splashing Green isn't so bad, especially since Oreskos Explorer can act as 4 virtual "Forests" as long as you have sort of dual. Bountiful Promenade also helps.
