thank you for the response, and yea i understand, running 4 colors was really bugging me, but isnt haste kind of important to slivers for faster aggro. also eladamri's call seems like a very good card to add. i was thinking / had 3-4 ponders in my deck in one point, should i put them back in? you really think i should add 2 might slivers aren't they a bit over kill? and what about legion? also cool link i have been reading through it all
Yeah, might slivers are definetely overkill.... I just thought its a better addition then sliver legion, but they are definetely not neccesery. I personally would not run the legion, probably run only 1 might sliver if needed. the sinew and muscle slivers abilities are good enough.
And well, haste is good... sure, but consider this...is it better then flying, +1/+1, shroud? It's all good but not better. With all the counters on your slivers you will probably overrun your opponent. And sticking to 3 colours is simply easier.
To make your oponents hate you, include 4x Sliver overlords and Intruder alarms. Fetch gemhide sliver, maaking all your slivers essentally lands, bring sliver queen out and one that gives haste, untapping every sliver each time due to intruder alarm, and now you have infite maana f every color, infinite slivers, and they can all atack. That one enchantment that reduces activated abillities costs will also help with the fetch. Think of only making 4-ofs of those abssolutely vital to your deck, due to how ovverlord kicks ass.
Also, why ist gemhide sliver included in the Primer? it is absolutely essential.
do you think that 2 Essence Slivers is a bit much or it an okay number? also is it worth to out in Seaside Citadel or is the drawback to strong for this type of deck
the tap lands like seaside citadel are good at fixing mana, if your meta runs that lands, you can run too, because you are in the same "speedy" of the other decks you face.
with 4 brainstorm and 4 EC for tutor you can drop the essence to 1, increase the winged to 4, avoid coat of arms if your meta runs a lot of tribal, get shared triumph, the pump is lower than coat, but you really dont need all that pump...
Took a long break (10+ years) from MTG, recently came back as a casual player. Any advice on this deck? It seems to do pretty well against decks that aren't crazy expensive.
One more question, should I take out the skullclamps and replace them with ashnod or perhaps something else? I'm wondering this because I'm running crystalline and equipment might not be the right choice with that..

you are right, equips dont help with crystal, if you have, run ponder or brainstorm in the place, since skullclamp is most to draw cards, use ashnod if you go for combo path, but i dont think your deck need that

since you have some high costed slivers, try to run some mana ramp like rakdos signet, sulfurous blast is necessary in your meta ? he hits your slivers too, care about that.
try acid sliver over metallic, can help to hit some spots if necessary.

acidic over metallic would absolutely be an improvement. I'll try the rakdos signet too.
Sulfurous blast has actually been pretty consistently useful. The lightning and terminate are pretty good at spot control, sulfurous blast has saved me multiple times as a game finisher, weenie patrol, or even getting multiple bigger creatures off the board during combat once my silvers have double-strike. Any suggestions on what would work better would be appreciated though.
Thanks so much for the help. I'll let you know how the adjustments work!
you meta call resolve a lot ? that make the pump spells less effective, if you add the pump spells, reduce the resolve to 2, if not, in place of pump spells run might sliver
Wow, that took awhile. Anyway, this my attempt to make the Premium Slivers deck playable. As you can tell, it's very creature heavy. I'm not so sure that's the way to go, but I'm not so much looking for feedback on the general deck build as I am on my mana base.
As it is now, it's pretty much all over the place. Note that I didn't even take time to try to fix it up myself, I basically left it just like it was from the precon because I didn't even know where to start.
Most of my Slivers are white, so I figure I'll need more plains but like I said, I don't really know what I need to do. Another thing that has me worried is all the Vivids and Spires. While I think they're decent enough cards, I'm afraid they'll slow the deck down too much. The Gemhides can help take up some of the slack, but I would still be slowing down my deck if I was having to tap my creatures for mana all the time.

the basics are, if you can, increase the powerfull slivers to 4
crystal, winged, gemhide should be increased to 4, drop the metallic, lymph and victual
also you can run 2 homing sliver just to cycle for a sliver you need.
coat helps you ? just care if the other decks you face are tribal too...
about the mana base, since your deck focus in creature heavy mode, you must up the ziggurats to 4, spire is slow, you should drop all of them
@me33
dunno if you have the sliver premium deck, if you have, you must run at least one virulent sliver (alternate wincon, 1cmc drop) and crystalline sliver (best sliver defense), with 3 homing sliver, you should run at least one ward sliver
besides that, lets see the deck now, the basic is, increase the best sliver, drop the worst ones, also try to get 4 ancient ziggurats
I've never been a fan of slivercycling. I just use Worldly Tutor instead. Yeah, slivercycling can be used more than four times, but once you've got Crystalline Sliver, Gemhide Sliver, and a sliver that grants some sort of evasion on the field, your opponent mind as well scoop. Sliver Legion is just icing on the cake since it even buffs itself.
That said, I think there's a few swaps you can make. Shifting Sliver is usually the best evasion over Winged Sliver unless its a mirror match or you really need the flyers (e.g. if you're going up against one of those rare Form of the Dragon decks). Another good option is Two-Headed Sliver.
You also might want to tweak your manabase. Reflecting Pool makes any five-color mana base really work. Here's my rainbow sliver mana base:
Taplands are your friend. You can afford to play them on turn 1 since nearly every sliver in the game costs at least 2 mana. Jungle Shrine is arguably the best since it facilitates your most important slivers (save Crystalline Sliver). A turn-1 jungle shrine and a turn-2 ziggurat is basically enough to last you the game right there, especially once gemhide hits the field.
I'd take out 1x muscle sliver and 1x sinew sliver, +1/+1 slivers are great but what really makes them shine is the abilities. You could replace them with 2x Fury Sliver, 2x Magma Sliver, 2x Toxin Sliver, etc. which are probably the best slivers for sheer offense.
the advantage of homing sliver over tutors is: they cant be "countered", since stifle and friends dont show to much in casual, also he is budget over any tutor.
the same advice is for reflecting pool, for sure is the best land in any 5 color deck, if any player can get a set, its a must in, same for mutavault.
the shifting sliver is the best evasion sliver, but only for attack, and still over costed for a aggro deck, winged sliver with a common evasion is the most fast evasion sliver
the fury, magma and toxin are, again, high costed slivers, you should choose one of the 3 to run in the deck, magma need a deck for him to shine at full power, since he has no sinergy with crystal, if you drop crystal or only run one crystal, you could put a magma in place of the crystal, fury is the worst of the 3, toxin could be fun in casual
20 lands for 5 color decks only works if you casual group let you make 2/1 deck mode, 2 cards 1 land before shuffle.
5 color decks for better mana fix need at least 22 lands, for 20 lands you need a $$ mana base what means something like that:
And well, haste is good... sure, but consider this...is it better then flying, +1/+1, shroud? It's all good but not better. With all the counters on your slivers you will probably overrun your opponent. And sticking to 3 colours is simply easier.
Ponder is good, brainstorm even better

try to drop some of the tap vivids for ancient ziggurat, since you run more creatures than artifacts.
may be:
-1 vivid grove

-1 terramorphic expanse
+4 ancient ziggurat
besides your meta call for essence, i will run ward sliver over essence, and maybe some sinews over the high costed ones
