Okay so I bought the Global series set (And it is really taxing to stop me form putting Mu Yanling into my EDH deck)
Anyway I sleeved both and now I am thinking of adding two more decks to my battlebox in hopes to have 4 decks of similar power. The idea is basically building a deck that hosts a mono color PW in a muti colored deck. Preferably one that isn't WU or RG (as they already exist as the global series)
To add to it I also do not want any multi-colored spells nor a full playset of any card (Aside from the lands)
In terms of lands the and base will be (12 Basics of PW color, 9 basic of alternate color and a playset of the corresponding guildgate. (As guildgates are basically the exact same card as non basic land in the global series (Especially if you have no cards that interact with gates. (they come into play tapped and tap for one of two colors.)
In addition to that that also mean that since the deck will contain 26 lands, and a PW. 33 cards will be spells.
Now here is the kicker. I am thinking about making (fake) cards similar to Rhythmic Water Vortex and Journey for the Elixir strictly to keep the power level the same as it allows you to search for your PW.
Now as for PW chosen. I am looking at Black, Red or White. Reason for this is that I already have a Blue and Green. I want to be different. I don't care much for which ones it is so long as it works (And if by chance i do not own the card, i am not spending 100 bucks to buy them.)
so that is the case I am looking for help to build these decks. I like kitchen table magic and I like having decks of similar power level to just kick back and have fun. the two are fine but i like playing with a group in a multiplayer environment, or even roll a d4 to randomly choose which deck. i don't want one deck to be so underpowered that it is not fun to play with. (i may eventually make 10 decks, (One for every 2-color combo) But for now, I just want to have 4, (maybe 5, just to round off the color wheel)
Gashnaw, you mite consider a W/g (vehicle themed?) deck w/ gideon, a B/u, (maybe zombie-esque?) deck w/ lily & a R/b deck, that way you've got all colors represented twice, once as a main color & once as a support color. i dont have the global decks, but it sounds like you do, but if i did, i'd lay them out & i'd build the others to match them as best i could, matching the # of 1 of's, the 2 of's, etc etc. anyways, just some thoughts, your post caught my eye, so i thought i'd throw some ideas @ you. pls post your deck lists, or send me a msg, i'd love to see them
or you mite go W/g energy w/ that aethergeode miner& longtusk cub & do R/b vehicles instead. idk how stream-lined those global decks are though, so i'm def not much help there

p.s - not saying you're wrong, b/c i dont own the decks, i'm just going by the decklists i found online. however if thats the case, that doesnt seem fair
p.s.s - i also dont like the mana base for the G/r deck, there are only 9 red cards for a total of 12 R symbols vs 12 white cards for a total of 13 W symbols in the U/w deck. i feel like the G/r deck needs to swap a mtn for an additional forest
yea the hound seems like its the best of the bunch, that just means you may have to weaken the other cards in the chandra deck slightly to compensate for it

maybe i messed up teh count and counted timber gotge in teh common count. oh well you are correct 5 uncommon vs 7.
Not that it matters, as a whole, both deck are bad.

haha, glad you said it 1st, b/c i was thinking the same thing. i like your idea behind the thread but i feel like maybe you should rebuild both the jiang yanggu & mu yanling decks to make them better vs trying to power down the other 3 to mimic those 2; that may prove to be just too difficult or just result in un-fun game play. you could still use the core idea behind them, the single walker, the "fetch" cards & the cards that "key" off them but surround them w/ a better deck...
i am definitely interested in seeing what you come up w/ though, as i have been desperately trying to come up w/ a casual multiplayer option that doesnt involve 100 card decks!

well then i will need help upgrading. It has been years since I last built my own deck in 60 card format (EDH exclusive player) so I prefer pre cons for just simple games.
i think i would start w/ card kingdoms battle decks Gashnaw, theres a ton of them, so you'd have a wide range of options to choose from & then you could just slot the walkers & appropriate accompanying cards in whatever #s you wanted to; drop/add style
aw man those things are cheap to build, just look up the decklist on tapped out under battle decks & i bet between you & your play grp + LGS you can scrape em together for just few $$'s

I do agre with that, but my LGS would not partake in building 60 card decks with me. EDH is our play style.
Why i might do however is instead build 60 card singleton deck and put the PWs at the helm of each similar to EDH, but instead of a legendary creature... a PW.
