hi everyone, im using a mono black removal deck in this moment, to play casual with my friends. I want to improve it, but i dont know how, i have some interesting cards to add, but i dont if its a good idea to add them or what to remove.
in this moment this is my deck
Thats the deck that im playing now.
Im thinking that Carnifex Demon its not that good , and i should change it. I also dont have Black Knight or other similar cards thats why i use Order of the Ebon hand, wich i may change if its needed.
I Also have hymn to tourach, hypnotic specter, Vampire nighthawk,Nantuko Shade, Gifted Aetherborn, 1Harvester of souls( not shure about this one) that i can add to the deck.
So, should i change the carnifex demon, or other cards¿ its better to add hymn to tourach and hypnotic specter?, any other cards to add¿
Any help will be appreciated, Many thanks in advance
Ok...first, let's have a look at your deck...let's see what is strong and what needs improvement:
Strong stuff:
Gatekeeper of Malakir: a 2/2 that forces your opponent to sacrifice a creature is surely a good card for only 3 mana...it's usually hard to play because it costs BBB but it's not a problem for you.
Dark Ritual can be an awesome card...it puts you ahead of others in the game. The only drawback is that you are losing card advantage. You need many things that allow you to draw to make sure that you won't end up behind on card advantage. You dont want to draw a Dark Ritual, in the late game, while you are empty-handed.
Random removal card: Removal is great...but you seem to be running too much of it.
Bad stuff:
Order of the Ebon Hand wont have any critical impact on the game, except maybe if you are set against a mono-white deck, there are better things out there.
Wight of Precinct Six is bad in the early game, and could be replaced by stronger things in the end game
You are not running enough lands, run at least 22, 23 would be even better.
The rest of your cards are alright, but they could be improved, you have too much removal and your cards have very little synergy with each other. Let's try to fix that.
First, I'm assuming that you dont want to spend a lot of money on this deck. If you want more expensive suggestions, mention it and I'll bring some more ideas. I'm also assuming that you will have multiple opponents (this is the multiplayer section after all =))
Here is a list of strong cards you could play that arent worth much (3$ or less each):
1) Run more cards that make you draw (very important)
2) Run stronger creatures...black has many REAL strong threats that are hard to deal with or that have nice come into play abilities...use them !
3) Play less removal...win the game...dont just stop others from winning it...it will be more fun for everyone and you will learn to play better...you will play on the offense instead of playing on the defense and you will learn to play your removal only to deal with the threats that MUST be dealt with.
I'm also assuming that you will have multiple opponents (this is the multiplayer section after all =))
yes i play multiplayer, but also play a lot of single too, i normally try to have a deck that can play in the two formats
reading your advice, i should change Order of ebons , and wights. Skinrender is normally very usefull i will keep it.
I also will change Diabolic edict and Geths.
i never realize about animate deadcan be usefull , but i have it in another deck and cant change it T_T
Ravenous Chupacabra offers affordable creature control. In most situations it is preferable over Skinrender. Hypnotic Specter is a classic black creature that puts a lot of pressure on the opponent.
Your deck lacks card advantage. This makes it hard to win 'in the long run'. Stuff like Underworld Connections or Phyrexian Arena will help you gain the upper hand.

These are the decks that I have constructed, and are ready to play:
01. Ankh Sligh to be exact.
For creature removal, I’m a big fan now of Torment of Hailfire. It’s black’s trifecta of discard, life burn, and board position blaster (to include artifacts and enchantments!) The knock on the card is that it allows an opponent to choose their poison. But, if you generate enough black mana, then it doesn’t really matter what they choose...they are still going down and it does not hurt you. I combine it in a deck that blasts creatures so that token players don’t have armies of tokens to sac. Infest or Black Sun’s Zenith will easily fill that role without going absurd with the cost for Damnation. Crypt Ghast can double mana for powerful torments if you want to use it as a primary sweeper.

Here is a list of strong cards you could play that arent worth much (3$ or less each):
Abyssal Persecutor
Gray Merchant of Asphodel
Animate Dead
Tendrils of Corruption
Skullclamp (only legal in vintage - massive card draw)
Sol Ring (only legal in vintage, also restricted)
Crypt Ghast
Vona's Hunger
Tetzimoc, Primal Death
Sepulchral Primordial
Curtains' Call
Syphon Mind (This is the massive card draw you were missing)
Mortivore
You should remove:
3 Order of the Ebon Hand
4 Wight of Precinct Six
4 Skinrender (you dont interract with -1/-1 counters in any way and there is better removal out there)
1 Diabolic Edict (your gatekeepers already take care of that)
4 Grasp of Darkness (you have stronger removal)
4 Geth's Verdict (your gatekeepers already take care of that)
To finish, my advice to improve your deck is....
1) Run more cards that make you draw (very important)
2) Run stronger creatures...black has many REAL strong threats that are hard to deal with or that have nice come into play abilities...use them !

Mortivore seems very powerfull
what other creatures you can advice me?
Kokusho, the Evening Star, Phyrexian Obliterator, Griselbrand, Geth, Lord of the Vault, Grave Titan, Massacre Wurm, Rune-Scarred Demon
But some are more affordable...
Razaketh, the Foulblooded, Korlash, Heir to Blackblade, Abyssal Persecutor, Sepulchral Primordial
