Bringing out my new favorite deck I recently made. Based on the old precon of Snowscape.
Designed to use snow permanents to control the board, and use the old classic of Dragon and Owl to rule the skies.
Playing testing so far has been met with moderate success, and I feel this deck has some room for improvement. I usually play in casual environment, but everyone plays with Modern legal decks. I decided Black and Blue because they had the most early game/kill spells compared to Red in this set. But I kept Skred and Rimescale Dragon because they were, to me, the best red cards.
Stalking Yeti: Interesting card, a 7 mana Lightning Bolt on a stick seemed interesting, but ultimately too slow for this deck and not viable late game. Frost Raptor: At face value a 2U 2/2 with flying and instant shroud seemed nice, but as with Yeti it loses to late game and 2 mana shroud seems too pricey with what this deck wants to do with its mana Lightning Bolt: This was a tough one, I chose Skred over it because late game Skred deals with way more than Bolt while bolt is just a solid card, I need a late game punch. Baldvian Frostwaker: At first I thought the synergy between it and Rimewind Taskmage was way too good to pass up, I realized that its too fragile as a 3 drop, and I need my mana to function late game and not get killed. Frozen Solid: Such Flavor. Much wow. But really, while I thought it would be cool to add, Chill to the Bone and Skred are way better board control. Chilling Shade: I compared this card to Stromgald Crusader, while Shade is super strong with any excess mana I may have, Stromgard gives me the protection from white, and can avoid certain flying kill spells, this seemed better. But I may switch it out should I need more 3 drops than 2. Scrying Sheets: While this is good for a snow deck, and getting a free draw is great tempo, I decided running 3 Mouth of Ronom was enough colourless mana and any more would disrupt the mana base.
I think I'd cut down to UB in order to make the Scrying Sheets fit in nicely. You've got nearly 40 Snow cards, and you should get a fair amount of shots at free cards off it with the way your deck is geared towards a late game. With red being such a small splash, you could just run a third owl and another playset of removal.
I notice not everything is or references Snow, so I'm guessing you're theme allows leeway on card selection? Chill to the Bone could be swapped for cheaper removal, you're paying an extra 2 for nonsnow vs nonblack or non-artifact.
Not everything is a reference to snow, true. So ya, those were in there to just fill space (and to look cool). But the deck really revolves around snow-permanents and cool interactions, hence the small splash of the Rimescale Dragon/skred and the Rimewind mages. But after playing a few dozen games today, I realized I never really needed them. So with that out of the way, removing Dragon, and Skred, and the 5 lands gives me room to add in 10 cards.,
So adding in
1 Owl
4, maybe less, Scrying Sheets
What else should be added in, outside say Murder/Doom Blade/Go For The Throat all varying on what my play group runs.
Are there any other cool Snow-permanent interactions I'm missing?

It's easy to believe you're a god when you're twice as powerful as everyone else.
Its been a hard choice for me to replace them. While they cost the same, Mana Leak, at least for my playgroup, falls to the wayside when they can pay for their spells, or counter with their own. Rune Snag, while it takes 1 less mana to counter, it keeps upping itself the more I counter and surpasses Mana Leak. Still haven't come to a clear conclusion.
With Snowcrusher, I don't know if I want some thing that big, I got the Owls, and I recently replaced the Stromgald Crusader with Chilling Shade because late/mid Shade gets there and gives me something to do if I happen to have a few extra mana floating around.

Fair enough, Rune Snag certainly gets better than Mana Leak as games go longer. Chilling Shade is a solid addition too with all of your snow mana.
Def. The decks I face in my casual corner are, U/W Control, R/B Vampires, Living End (Modern), and a few others, but these are peoples main decks.
I just don't know where else to go with my snow permanents, I want to make more of an impact, but outside the Cryromancers and Heidar, I don't have to much interaction with them. But I also don't want to make a generic U/B Control deck, I'd like to keep a theme of snow because Coldsnap is my favorite block because Snow.

I actually like Ur better than Ub for this. Skred is awesome, and if you hit late game Rimscale dragon is just nasty. You could run Coldsteel Heart for ramp. If you stay in UB, you should probably run Blizzard Specter. I don't like Phyrexian Ironfoot, Rimebound Dead, or Stromgald Crusader in this deck much. They all seem like they would be better as early discard or kill spells. I also like scrying sheets better than mouth of Ronom.
My issue with running the deck as UR instead of UB, is my Rimewind mages don't go off as fast. Granted, ironfoot is probably due for a replacement, but not sure what I'd take him out for. He's used, in my opinion, as a 3 drop blocker like rimebound. The Stromgald has been replaced with Chilling Shade. And if I go UR, there aren't a lot of good red cards to help be snow control like B brings to the table. Mouth of Ronom I've debated bringing down to 2. And adding in 2 Scrying Sheets just because I like for the late game to blow something up and Scrying Sheets don't need to be numerous due to their ability.

Have you thought about looking at cards in the original Ice Age block? Winter's Chill and Sun Stone can be very useful Fog effects.

Oooh, Winter's Chill looks so flavorful ^.^
I don't think Sunstone will fit due to me wanting snow permanents for Rimewind mages. I debated using cards that aren't modern because my play group likes playing with "Modern" decks because old decks that win constantly aren't fun (I use to run Fires a lot which got boring when I rarely lost), But I rarely the rules anyways.
I kept things black just because the red side of Snow doesn't have a lot of good/decent early drops i need to let the Rimewind Mages activate faster than if I played U/R
I don't think you need to be so worried about the 4 permanents thing. If you run 4 coldsteel heart, that will be another snow permanent and let you have the taskmage online turn three with mana open to activate. I don't like the owl much at all. Its a big beater that doesn't provide any utility, and you get the same thing from chilling shade.
What would you suggest to replace the bird? Just 2 Coldsteel Heart? Or should I try to fit all 4 of those in?
Still debating if this should be UR or UB. Because if we go primary on the lands and artifacts, then I shouldn't worry about my creatures being snow creatures. Which then means I could make it R and add the Rimescale Dragon to finish people off.

I actually tried Winter's Chill in a snow deck (for exactly the same reason as you) many years ago and it was incredibly disappointing.
This card will just get you killed, man.
Fog effects, like most life gain effects, are a little low-return-on-investment considering they generally don't do much to win the game, just keep you from losing for one turn. (Now, if your deck goes off the next turn, Fogs are obviously pretty good.. Otherwise..not so much.) But, there are some good ones (imo) and I do play them in some of my decks.
Consider Winter's Chill. The practical effect of that ridiculous text box is to make it so in the late-game situations where you're going to just die without a Fog now you still just die b/c they'll just pay the mana. Playing cards that give your opponent the option to completely ignore them is horrible. Why even run it then? It's not even really a Fog. It's just this 'sort of' (on-flavor) Fog in your deck. And you're playing the best two colors in the game here, by the way..
Sunstone is a slight improvement but still not super playable without something to abuse it.
If you have any Extraplanar Lenses laying around, it is quite unfair with snow-covered lands. Definitely second Scrying Sheets, I swear by that card in control decks for a couple of years now.

I love Scrying Sheets too, the tempo from it is strong. Helps me win games. So if I ditch Winter's Chill, what would I put in its place?

Lots of spells, but I think at this point, the only creatures I need are the Rimewind mages,Heidar, and Blizzard Specter. So I think I can fit most of these spells into the deck.
Which ones do you recommend? I'm probably gonna keep the Rune Snag.

Well, Glacial Chasm is nakedly powerful compared to rest. That card can just sew up the game for you if you have all you need in place. But, there's obvious opportunity cost to playing it.. It's really good in combo decks, obv, but this isn't one of those.
The rest, you might just try tossing in a variety of 1-2x of each and try them out over a series of games. I mean, they're all pretty similar in what they do.
Of course, there's always...the 'dick move'. Just remembered this card exists--haha. It is definitely on-flavor but your opponents might just scoop in response.
