Does anyone know any other cards like this, most especially in rakdos colors?
I know those are technically "bad" cards, and my buddy always nags me about playing them, but I think their really fun.
I was hoping to build a funny rakdos deck based around opponents making the choices to play against him.
Haha, yes they are pretty fun. I once tried out Misfortune in a Jund Warriors deck and honestly, it was probably the mosthilarious card in the whole deck.
Never saw it coming, either..just tossed a few in as an afterthought. It was FUN.
Ok, so I've been toying around with it, and came up with a rough draft, what do yall think? Still seems a bit weak to me although I probably am not playing it right. Also, it's more tuned towards a creature deck now, although the man lands will be great vs control, I could use some SB thoughts.
So I haven't really playtested yet, but just from sample draws, seems like it might need that 4th Breaking Point, and maybe less counters, perhaps dropping 2 Molten Influences.
The mana base I quickly threw together and didn't look too much, lots of tap lands but I liked the life and Scry. Open to suggestions on land, however I don't want to be putting in a $200 mama base for this silly casual deck.
Also feels like it might lack stabilization, not really much life gain, and not much card draw. Perhaps throwing some Read the Bones, or Sign in Bloods?
What do yall think? I took out the Master of Cruelties, but something tells me I may want them back in there.
Need a SB too. Goal is to spend less than $200 on the deck, it's at about $110 now.
I think the Master of Cruelties provide more survival than the Pharika's Cures, and an alternate win con. Upped Blightning to 4 for extra burn/disruption. Changing to 2 killing waves over the extra counters is nice, helps take care of aggro, and I can use as a slightly expensive removal too.
Thanks, I was planning on copying it over but my PC has been the last of my interests lately and this new mobile forum is not very friendly with my phone.
Anyone have thoughts/comments on the deck? I'll be able to playtested again a good bit next Monday!
Do you like annoying your 'friends' with cards that aren't 'good', but still irritating? Then it's time to put Frankie Peanuts' big butt in YOUR deck. With your current "Hard Choices" build, you can ask questions like "If given the option, will you pay life/take damage this turn?" They won't know what they're agreeing to until it's too late. Act now, and we'll throw in Anger/Blur Sliver. Why? "If given the chance, will you accept damage this turn?" If they say yes, Master of Cruelties with haste. If they say no, you can Browbeat that B. As an extra benefit, you have the potential to issue your 'friends' cruel ultimatums--but not your Dad's Cruel Ultimatum. THIS CRUEL ULTIMATUM:
Once you have your friend in a jam, ask "If I don't attack this turn, will you INSERT WHATEVER YOU WANT HERE!1!111?"
Now you can find out just how important winning is to your pals. What a value! AND if you order within the next 24 hours, we'll also include suggestions to fill in the blank!
Suggestions include:
"buy me a beer?"
"sing all of the lyrics to Come Sail Away?"
"put this dirty sock in your mouth?"
"say I'm a Floppy Fairy Binky Boy"
AND MUCH MORE!
All for the cost of 4 mana!

If you two don't stop bickering, I will turn this raid around!
The basic idea is to burn your opponent to the face with some of the early decision making cards (i.e. vexing devil, skullscorch, etc). Against most decks, they will probably pay the life. The deck is packed with a plethora of burn cards, so, along with the decision cards, it's easy to get our opponent under 10 life. From there, we just keep our opponent's life total under pressure. Against burn, it becomes much harder for the opponent to pay the alternate life cost once they are under 10 life. Dash Hopes basically becomes a counter spell, Skullscorch becomes Hymn to Tourach, etc. If we find these effects are not useful for us later game, we have cards like Gathan Raiders and Jaya Ballard, Task Mage to pitch them to. There are also a couple of 1 ofs to help us bring down those last few life points from our opponent.
@LocketKey, FrankiePeanuts sounds pretty cool and I ordered two in case I wanted them later, but for now I will stay two color. Your post though... a+, kudos, *claps*, amazing post haha, had me laughing.
@GCNDAN, looks good, let me know how it goes and what some of the good cards are in yours and some of the match ups. I stomped on an izzet deck.
@Warden, looks like a fun card if only a bit better, seems like that could go well with peanuts though... "Will you say a number above 20 if I ask?"
@everyone,
Can't wait to get more play tests in, I'm still looking for like a two of to go in that are pretty solid help, and definitely a sideboard, haven't gotten to play enough yet tho.
@pyro1934, glad I got a laugh. In terms of your decision, I respect it; honestly, my usual response to people suggesting color splashes is usually the same, "no, but maybe later? ". I only mentioned it because it seems to fit in with the same type of other-player-suffering niche. Hope your deck plays well!
