The 3/07/18 random card of the day is Riddle of Lightning. If you have any comments, combos or a decklist involving this card, feel free to share.
One of my favorite decks is built around this card, together with Blast of Genius and Vengeful Rebirth, to throw out really big fireballs with 6 damage usually being on the lower end, the expected damage is 8 or 9, on occasion it's 15 if I can hit the lone Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. Takes a while to get going, but then it's just nukes in all directions. Also fun with Pyromancer's Goggles.
In the Journey into Nyx prerelease, one of my opponents won the game and match by scrying away all three cards and then revealing one of the few, if not the only, card to kill me before my turn, when I would have overrun him.
This set of lands from Ravnica and friends are a nice, unexpensive way to help fixing your colors in a 3+ colors deck and "kinda" gives you a land in your hand at the expense of another land coming into play tapped...it would be an awesome trade if lands couldnt be destroyed.
Sadly, this card is very weak to targeted land destruction which puts you 2 turns behind everyone else mana-base wise and REALLY screws up your game. I often play these lands since my playgroup doesnt have too much land destruction but their value is very related to the amount of targeted land destruction played in your playgroup.
The coming of Sylvan Primordial, which is completely sick in multiplayer games, kinda made these lands to be less attractive since a lot of green deck are playing this primordial.
compared the similar Visions lands, ie: Jungle Basin et al; the Ravnica "guild" lands aren't as specific as the Visions lands. i still like the Liars from Plneshift

Another boring vanilla creature. At least the flavor text is decent.
