I like Fire//Ice a reasonable amount. Still good today. The split cards have always reminded me of the little boxes of one-bowl of cereal that we used to take with us when we went camping. Just a couple of smol magic cards.
i want to see someone crazy enough to run Phyrexian Negator in a Lich deck... though with enough token generation, like Infernal Genesis, should be manageable.

Lich can be powerful in the right deck, though, there are cards that gain a lot of life for very little mana, Nourishing Shoal is probably the most obvious with it
Premium mana cost for this effect, though the life loss can sometimes lock you out of casting it later. Sometimes Animate Dead can be better because of that, and because of effects like Heliod's Pilgrim, but Reanimate is speed.
Isn't Serrated Arrows the only card from Homelands that is still played in Vintage decks?
'Surge and Shrink, and other likewise cards are handy versus stompy and could enable Swat shenanigans.

It's absolutely not played in Vintage decks, but Merchant Scroll might be. I've got my suspicions about Didgeridoo as well, look at the price tag on that thing.
Stingerfling Spider is a great limited card and probably on the underperforming side of things in other formats. What do you think about using Astral Drift/Astral Slide and Windcaller Aven alongside the spider as a way to kill nonfliers? I think that'd evoke some sort of giggle from your opponents.
This looks fun with Eldrazi spawn or scions.
Also another absurd combo with the ozolith

Why does it specify "in play"? I've always interpreted the "zones of control" as 'controls' implies 'in play' and 'owns' represents all zones.
if the card said 'target creature you own' would need the 'in play' so someone can't just have a Phyrexian Dreadnought with them in their trade binder to frag something, but could use a stolen creature to frag another.
>edit< apparently, it's only the Alara version that "in play" is on the card.

The 3/22/21 random card of the day is Zahid, Djinn of the Lamp. If you have any comments, combos or a decklist involving this card, feel free to share.
Can you tap equipped Equipment for such abilities? one of those questions i've wanted to ask, but since i don't play anymore- it's not important.

Yes, any untapped artifact under your control will do. Even Treasure or food tokens, though you can only use the former for mana or that tap cost, not both.
Anyway, a Mahamoti Djinn that can come down on turn 4 is an upgrade, and in Limited it has an impact even at normal cost. Constructed, not so much.

a few years ago, this used to be one of the wincons of a strong UW deck in modern.

I'm working on a Vintage/Legacy deck based around Didgeridoo and Standstill or Hesitation.
I have a casual deck where the focus is Blade of the Bloodchief and Blood Bairn or Bloodthrone Vampire.
