now green has plenty of draw, access to bit more self-bounce, and this elf is still a welcome addition to any green deck.

The 12/04/20 random card of the day is Horror of the Broken Lands. If you have any comments, combos or a decklist involving this card, feel free to share.
I'd like to see this guy in a Wither/Persist commander deck...

Yep, it was. And the Burning Vengeance deck was a potential archetype in Limited, if you got one early. Or a second even. Then you would pack the deck with common flashback staples like Think Twice and Burning Oil, or less useful ones just for the flashback to fuel the enchantment. Selfmilling was also available.
is really worth 2 life, when you have things like Pacifism?

That's usually a white effect, and as a white card it would be a usual Limited combat trick. On a black card, the effect is kind of odd and may actually surprise an opponent. Still, just a Limited combat trick.

I consider this one of the best budget cards of all time.. yeah, outclassed by thoughtseize.. but Duress is still effective in a lot of situations.

and on pious interdiction. Adding my opinion.. it's not worth it. Pacifism is so much better.
