A faerie deck that counters everything that you can bring out the instant it comes out, and also has creatures that can come out as an instant and counter your spells, then you try to remove those creatures and then they have counter cards that allow them to counter a spell AND bring a creature back into their hand, giving another counter
I really would like to kno what would be a VERSATILE deck that can handle this, the colors I am interested in are either:
Mono Black
or Black/white
Maybe a specter aggro/discard theme? Or quick 1 CC vampires with spot removal and discards?
What about a zombie themed deck from onslaught block? I am not sure, but I know that zombie decks have a lot of cards that reanimate and cards that you want your zombies to go to the graveyard. Plus, it has a lot of -/- effects for non-zombies or all creatures that might help with the bunch of faeries on the field?
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant what we should voyage far."
Use the thoughtseize to knock out early counterspells, then play dark confidant and skullclamp. Once you can get those two out, they should provide enough of card advantage to fuel your creature kill spells. Bloodhast is very resistant to being countered due to its landfall ability. Stoneforge mystic lets you get you clamps and jitte.

Well it appears that your not really interested in playing green or red, but I just though I'd mention two cards that were printed for the main purpose of hosing Faeries: Volcanic Fallout and Great Sable Stag.
Note that, in all formats (even vintage and legacy) fairies is a very competitive deck.
Very true. How new of a player are you...b/c it sounds like this guy is bringing a gun to your knife fight. Hopefully this is a competitive environment (like a serious FNM or something)...otherwise, if this is some dude bringing what sounds to be a decent and potentially tourney quality deck to a casual kitchen table, well, that just ain't right. I'd make sure you both understand the quality and calibur of the decks you're each shuffling before playing.

This is a very powerful (and pretty expensive) deck. It will definitely be able to compete with this blue faerie deck.
Another deck you could run, which would be very potent is a sligh or goblin deck...here's mine...
This will spank his deck. Spank. And it's pretty cheap $-wise, comparatively speakin'. Fair warning though, this deck is tourney quality (I took basically this deck to a state tourney back in tempest block and did pretty good)...it is not "casual" by most definitions. I don't play it much (like my discard deck)...only when we occasionally pull our best decks (like the dude in our group with power). If, somehow, after this, you're still having a hard time with his deck, add liberal amounts of Red Elemental Blast and Pyroblast.
i played in casual a very good faerie deck his career sheet is like 50-9 in multiplayer. so the deck that is very good versus faeries i told you is like a discard deck or a lock-up deck. these kind of deck or good because they don't force the control on faeries they do it by themselves. and just like that i think the best deck versus faeries is a land deck. Because they can't counterspell land and they can't destroy them except if they have budget for sinkhole. But if you have like 600$ or more you can spend it in a good land deck.

That's an idea but extremely costly to build a consistent and good one (i refer to 43 lands).
Basically the idea is either to disrupt him long enough (with hand and land destruction, like the decks above) or just accel out prison locks/combo faster than he can do anything (i.e. The EPIC Storm or Stax [Ancient Tomb>Chalice of the Void/Trinisphere)

This should help people out who are addressing me in further posts: My name is Tenkai. It's not Tokobo. Thank you. =)

In color though, Orim's Chant or Silence
H.P. Lovecraft
From a black and white perspective, your best bet would be some sort of aggro-control. Discard (thoughtseize, hymn to tourach) with swords to plowshares, vindicate, maybe another creature kill card from black, then dark confidant and the best black creatures you can get a hold of.
Maybe something like this:
4 stoneforge mytic
3 bloodghast
4 thoughtseize
2 cabal therapy
4 dark ritual
4 swords to plowshares
3 vindicate
1 demonic tutor
1 vampiric tutor
1 sensei's divining top
2 skullclamp
1 umezawa's jitte
4 plains
7 swamp
4 marsh flats
2 cabal pit
1 strip mine

4 Jackal Pup
4 Goblin Cadets
2 Raging Goblin
4 Mogg Fanatic
4 Mogg Flunkies
4 Ankh of Mishra
2 Black Vise
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Incinerate
3 Cursed Scroll (Magus of the Scroll is a budget version)
2 Fireblast
3 Goblin Grenade
16 Mountains
4 Strip Mine (Before it was restricted)
This will spank his deck. Spank. And it's pretty cheap $-wise, comparatively speakin'. DRum
Old school group, sometimes more beer than cards. Revised thru Tempest block (and a little of Urza), sorry if I don't know all the new cards
Ye' Olde Schoole Casual Decks: BUReanimate -- GRAggro -- BWPestilence -- G10-land Stompy -- GRElfball -- GWEnchantress -- RAnkh Sligh -- BDiscard -- MUC "Draw-go" -- BRSuicide -- UWSkies -- UHigh Tide Mill -- WWeenie -- UMutated Bombers -- URThe great land-toss -- UB Molasass
This is a aggro control deck, using hand disruption in early game while gaining CA and winning with aggro.
5 Swamp
4 Marsh Flats
4 Scrubland
3 Polluted Delta
2 Bloodstained Mire
1 Plains
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
// Creatures
4 Dark Confidant
4 Gatekeeper of Malakir
4 Tidehollow Sculler
4 Vampire Nighthawk
2 Stoneforge Mystic
4 Swords to Plowshares
3 Sensei's Divining Top
1 Sword of Fire and Ice
1 Sword of Light and Shadow
1 Umezawa's Jitte
4 Hymn to Tourach
4 Inquisition of Kozilek
4 Vindicate
4 Engineered Plague
4 Relic of Progenitus
3 Oblivion Ring
3 Path to Exile
1 Sadistic Sacrament
This is a control deck that uses mana denial and hand disruption with an E tutor package to seal the game before winning with stuff like Tombstalker.
3 Bloodstained Mire
3 Polluted Delta
4 Scrubland
11 Swamp
3 Tomb of Urami
// Creatures
2 Nether Spirit
3 Tombstalker
// Other Spells
4 Enlightened Tutor
1 Crucible of worlds
1 Ghostly Prison
1 Null Rod
1 Powder Keg
1 Genju of the Fields
1 Seal of Cleansing
1 Contamination
1 Bitterblossom
1 Luminarch Ascenscion
1 Duress
4 Hymn to Tourach
4 Pox
4 Smallpox
4 Thoughtseize
2 Vindicate
1 Circle of Protection: Red
1 Circle of Protection: Green
2 Vindicate
2 Duress
3 Tormod's Crypt
1 Engineered Plague
1 Warmth
1 Ethersworn Canonist
1 Serenity
2 Pithing Needle
The last one would be an aggro deck with some disruption elements in it.
17 Swamp
4 Wasteland
// Creatures
4 Abyssal Persecutor
4 Gatekeeper of Malakir
4 Dark Confidant
4 Vampire Nighthawk
4 Duress
4 Innocent Blood
3 Deathmark
3 Cabal Therapy
3 Hymn to Tourach
3 Umezawa's Jitte
3 Bitterblossom
4 Spinning Darkness
3 Faerie Macabre
3 Soul Spike
3 Dystopia
2 Sword of Light and Shadow
Other ideas, off color would be a mono blue merfolk (with vials and counters) since you will islandwalk him to death.
And if you want to try, you can try out my deck, Grave Existence in my Sig (the not so budget one), might work depending on how good is his deck. If his deck is the real deal, then I suggest:
-4 Wrench Mind
-3 Loxodon Warhammer
-1 Leechridden Swamp
-1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
-1 Sorin Markov
-3 Buried Alive
+4 Hymn to Tourach
+3 Umezawa's Jitte
+2 Swamp
+1 Vampire Nighthawk
+2 Stinkweed Imp
Hope the ideas help you in beating him!
