I mean, aside from Marwyn, there aren't any cards in Standard that explicitly care about elves. As such, there's really no incentive to build any kind of Elf deck. It would just be a superficial collection of cards, much like a deck featuring only cards illustrated by Wayne Reynolds would be, or a deck that only played cards that began with the letter 'T'. There's no mechanical relevance there.

I've got a Rishkar deck that is almost an elf deck, but in truth, it's a +1/+1 counter deck that just happens to have access to a lot of elves with fabricate.

I know they are not very powerful now but I’m confident that the Core will give us some nice options as well.
Currently Hallar, Radha, Rashmi and Rishkar are the only potential commanders with the elf type.
The Vorthos community will await the consequences of the Eldrazi Titans' deaths/sealing. We will keep the watch.
