Teferi's Sentinel: a 2/6 for 5 that could become a 6/6 for 5 could be useful. As we do have two Teferi cards at the moment.
Niambi, Faithful Healer: Interesting option for a precon. She can be a brawler but I see her as being part of the 59 with Hero of Dominaria floating around.
Teferi, Timebender: Is only decent right now because of Niambi.

So for real though, are mu Yanling and Jiang Yanggu going to be legal in brawl? What about in China?

Gotta say, I'm not loving today's spoilers.

Battlebond overload of partner and lack of commander reminder text is confusing as hell, and the art looks very Saturday morning cartoons.

rtrtr for 3 sets sounds like a cowardly maneuver. Hopefully still a fun draft environment.

Bab promo is obnoxious nonsense, I buy tons of product for draft and prereleases and it stacks up all over my apartment from winnings, buying a box is a stupid use of money for basically anyone unless they're running drafts. I'll be buying the promo online at no benefit to my lgs.

And the Chinese product is amazingly stupid. The design is atrocious. The art on jiang looks like something from avatar (a fine show but not magic). And the standard legality is the pinnacle of stupidity, especially with how they seem to be distributing it - in stores in the US, online for China.

I generally try to be supportive of wotc but today made it HARD.

It has not been announced that it will be legal for standard/brawl, which means that commander sets will not be legal for brawl, which basically means there will be a fairly swift demise of the format with lack of rotating legendary commander variations. Unless of course they figure this out.

I actually quite like the art, I wouldn't want every Magic card with the cartoon style, but for a small set that's not sort of pushed onto people (i.e. serious drafting and standard players), then with the Tibor and Lumia style I think is fine.

Nicol Bolas, the Ravager looks like it will be a strong contender here.

Vivien Reid looks decent as a 59 somewhere and Gravewaker might be interesting as a late game card as well.

I'm definitely excited to try Vivien. She seems like the perfect role-player for my mono-green. Incremental card advantage with a coincidental Naturalize tacked on? And that ultimate! I don't know how often I'll get it, but when I do, ho boy! Makes attacking virtually never bad.

Other cards I'm interested in are Colossal Majesty, Elvish Rejuvenator, Gigantosaurus, Goreclaw, Reclamation Sage, and maybe even Aggressive Mammoth. Honestly, there's so many cards in M19 that I won't have any trouble transforming this thing into a Commander deck after the first rotation happens.

Sarkhan's Unsealing is ridiculous value in a midrange deck, even hits planewalkers! Spit Flame makes Dragons a tempting tribe.
