I stumbled upon this subforum and thought I will learn the basics about the format.
However, I found that there seems to be no pinned thread/post that would answer the simple question of "What is Brawl?"
Of course I can find that information off-site, I just thought it would be more convenient to have it right here in the subforum for every newcomer to see.
Hello!
I feel like when they released the information on brawl, they announced that it was a 2 headed giant-like format, but I can't find this information anywhere and I see a lot of people posting stuff online. So my question was, is it 2 headed giant, 1v1 or 4 players free for all? I'd like to be sure before building something and getting wrecked at my LGS because I didnt know about this
Charmer - we can work on trying to put a resource thread together. Unfortunately, there just isn't much to add, but I'll see what I can do.
Pikalex - I've moved your post to the help desk, as the rules announcement should have been locked. >.< to answer your question, Brawl is a multiplayer free for all format (exact number of players will probably depend on where you are, but four is likely the average pod size). Here's an article covering the basic rules, and here's another that explains them a but more in practice (and is also the only official article I could find referencing number of players).
