Aster found that the forest began to thicken the longer she followed the light flickering between the trees. After about an hour she noticed the lights began picking up speed. She was beginning to lose them.
**The woman picked up her pace quickly and as best as she could in the thickness of the forest, she followed with as much speed as the undergrowth would allow without breaking her neck.**
Try as she might she couldn't keep up with the fitting light and after a short sprint that left her short of breath and a bit ragged from the brush, she found herself standing in the middle of the woods... Alone... In the dark. After a few moments she heard a twig snap to her right.
**Instinctively Aster moved left in one fluid motion, in what she thought would take her away from any immediate danger, while drawing both her blades at the same time.**
A small face poked out of the bushes. The greel looked at her with eyes that were too large. Her face seemed to glow slightly. On second thought it was almost to cute and well formed to be a greel, the skin too smooth. But it was certainly a close resemblance.
Greel? Girl - "Would you? Kill a stranger for running from you?"
Astera - (After a moment of contemplation) That would depend on the reason I had for killing them and what they were running for. As for you, I initially took you for a threat to my immediate person, however seeing as that appears not to be the case, no, I wouldn't kill you for running away.
The little creature's cheeks glowed a soft purple and she gave a small smile. then her large eyes narrowed and the purple transitioned to more of a maroon.
Go ahead and run, you'll only die tired.
Those who might never meet are pooled together
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Go ahead and run, you'll only die tired.
Those who might never meet are pooled together
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Go ahead and run, you'll only die tired.
Those who might never meet are pooled together
**The woman sheathed her daggers after regaining her proper footing.**
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Greel? Girl - "Would you? Kill a stranger for running from you?"
Go ahead and run, you'll only die tired.
Those who might never meet are pooled together
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Girl - "Why were you chasing me anyway?"
Go ahead and run, you'll only die tired.
Those who might never meet are pooled together
Aster - I wasn't; I was chasing a light through the forest that I saw from the Great Road. Only, to my surprise, here we are.
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
