Three intimidating figures walked out of Elexia on foot through the north gates. Followed by a figure in grey robes. They headed north, as one might expect but did not meet with any sort of carriage, nor did they turn towards any of the roads. The pushed forward into the Sekoras, heading due north.
Darius- My lodge is a little north of Lake Wandelndholz, so we'll be pushing through the Sekoras. Fastest path is to skirt along the swamp, heading due north until we start hitting rock.
Olus smiled at the man, but he was breathing more heavily than he should have been already. "This spell of yours is going to take some getting used to."
**Gram held his hammer a little awkwardly, clearly still surprised by its weight.**
Gram - "You have any 'obstacles' planned for us in that swamp?"

Sing lustily and with good courage.
Be aware of singing as if you were half dead,
or half asleep:
but lift your voice with strength.
Be no more afraid of your voice now,
nor more ashamed of its being heard,
than when you sang the songs of Satan.
Darius- Would you believe watching duels in the arena? So many of the challenges have rules about whether or not physical spells are allowed or not, I thought it would be interesting to come up with a real leveler.
Gram - "Wouldn't it make more sense to try it on battlemages, then?"

Five wolves burst through the bushes ahead, their eyes filled with hate and their fur matted with blood. One of them lunged at Darius, who flicked a hand and sent it reeling backwards. Three of the remaining wolves launched themselves at each of the adventurers, jaws wide, trying to take chunks out of their thighs.
**Gram did what he always did in this situation: throw his hammer down on the back of the creature as hard as he could, in what would normally be a spine-crushing blow.**

Gram's hammer blow successfully, stop the wolf from biting, but not barreling into him. He soon found himself shoved to the flaw by the snarling, gnashing beast.
Laghairt successfully pierced one wolf only to be flanked by another, the creature digging its teeth into the material of his apron, crushing some of the wind out of him.
Olus was the most successful of the trio, not relying on his sapped strength. His blow to the creature's snout clearly dazed it, causing the wolf to pace around confusedly.

As Laghairt is knocked back by the second wolf, he plants the back end of the Lavaforge Pole in the ground behind him to help him stay upright and on his feet. While shattering the obsidian on the front end of the pole, he lavaforges Om and then has the obsidian monitor run over and bite the wolf on its leg.

Gram felt the wolf's breath on his face as he tried to strangle the wolf, finding his hands lacking the appropriate strength to crush the beast's wind pipe. The wolf was able to force the pair over such that Gram was on his back, under the ever increasing weight of the wolf.
Laghairt was unable to stop himself being barreled over by the wolf, but found himself given a moment's reprieve when the obsidian lizard pulled at the creature's leg.
The momentary blindness was not enough to allow allow Olus easy pickings, the wolf lunged forward and clamped its jaw around the taskmage's shin and tugged at it violently.
