A hundred or more tents and poorly crafted shacks littered the Autumn Trail, dead in the way of any travelers heading towards the elven city. The perimeter of the camp was fenced in by a series of sharpened wooden stakes, spaced at two feet intervals. Anyone approaching the camp was greeted with a troupe of elves, humans and nadrasks, hard of body and hard of face, and not the type to let just anyone bye.
Greevan was under siege, and none shall be allowed to pass into the town.
Fionn's Gate, which have not closed for over five hundred years, since the Marches of the Desert Wind, remained agape. But beyond its tall, thick oak doors, the loyalist elves within Greevan constructed their own barricade of sharpened stakes, their pointed tips tilted outwards towards the rebel camp. At all times there were at least one unit of the Jade Guard keeping watch for any intruders, although there has yet to be any form of physical invasion into the city from the rebels. Well, at least not at the gate.
The Gate Camp, largest of the blockade camps, crawled with merchants and traders and hustled with citizens and their children. The majority of the Greevan exile commoners nested here, waiting for some sort of resolve to the situation. Militia presence was minimal, just enough to keep watch on the gate and keep the common-folk safe. Aizer Hemmingleaf had official charge of the camp, although the constant flow of those coming and going to the makeshift town made it difficult to maintain order.

Arl tries to locate the Old Man, quickly finding him on route out of the city in a large wagon. He notes he's moving to the old part of Elexia - he didn't retire and move from one perpetual warzone just to move to another one! He asks Arl to check up on a friend of his in Epicrin - the man was going to help him move but he didn't show up. That's worrisome.
Arl arrives and says goodby to the traveling family. She buys the level 4 spirit spell "Inner Champion" before setting off to Elexia. Attempting to cast the spell creates the following effect (created by DAK):
Spirit Lvl 4 - Paper Knight(Inner Champion): Arl becomes clad in a chest plate and helmet of folded paper identical in strength to her swords. The chest plate and helmet can refold and reposition themselves into vambraces, greaves, pauldrons or any other individual or paired armour pieces. While in this form Arl is able to leap further but not higher as she almost glides through the air. You cannot cast, maintain other spells, or summonings for as long as you maintain this effect and for a post afterwards.
No adventures at all! Eizen and possibly Gerr enter Greevan after a completely uneventful trip. Eizen purchases the "shadowcrawler" spell for the following effect:
Shadowcrawler(Spider Monkey) - Shape and animate your shadow into a summoned beast of living, solid darkness, icy and swirling, into the form of a Ateles fusciceps (Black-Headed Spider Monkey).
"What's going on here Eizen?". Gerr says while trying to purchase ingredients for black powder x2 (how much? It may have to wait till pricings are up for mechanists)
(Since its not up im going to wait on this until after the war)
"So after you say 'blank who?' i finish the joke!" Yoko finished describing knock knock jokes to Christov. They walked up to the colorful looking spell tent.

Christov looked at Yoko with a raised eyebrow "As I understand it, the point of the joke is to induce humorous pun-like wordplay?" The two had learned quite a bit about each other on their journey to Greeven and though an odd pair, Christov had come to think of Yoko as a friend, and even allowed himself to enjoy the fox's company.
Christov attempts a smile, but it comes out looking more like a grimace "I would indeed enjoy working with you again Yoko. Although I would like to read this scroll I purchased first." He said, as they walked outside, he unrolled the parchment and began to read it. As the words burned themselves into his mind Christov felt something happening to him, a stirring in his spirit. He let out a swift gasp and fell to his knees, clutching his ribs, his sunglasses fell from his face. "What's happening to me?" he breathed swiftly in, making a gasping noise. He lifted his head and opened his mouth in a soundless scream. Christov's eyes glowed a bright crimson and for a moment the whites of his eyes turned black. Finally he breathed out all his breath in one go, and collapsed onto his stomach panting in a cold sweat.
Christov picks himself slowly off the ground, and looks around flexing his muscles and stretching, and ignoring Yoko's joke. "Amazingly... I feel good... Better than I did before. I must redouble my self control to match my growing strength." His tone was sincere but there was a dangerous glint in his eye... A hungry glint. He shook his head as if to clear it. "I am prepared to leave, perhaps we can find an animal that is edible on the way back. And soon... I am starving." And with that the two friends and Yoko's travelling petting zoo left Greevan and headed back to place where they first met, The Halls of Justice.
