Jebidiah and Voli head off a ways outside of the city. They go find a mostly out of the way area, far enough away from people and main traveling paths so as to avoid causing any harm. "Alright, this seems like a good place to get the basics for these new weapons. We will test out the shield first as I am guessing that it's limits are easier to learn. First step is for you to hit it." With that he took the shield and waited for Voli to strike it.
Voli blinked at his instructions. Then he looked around, and grabbed a branch off the ground. He then whacked the shield after some hesitation. Just incase the shield was of inferior quality, he didn't use his full strength.
"Ow!" He yelped, looking confused despite clearly knowing what had happened. He simply couldn't believe the shield had worked as it was supposed to."That hurt..." He looked up at Jebidiah, seemingly silently pleading that he not have to hit the shield again. Voli could be quite a baby sometimes.
"Well, that answers that." Seeing the pathetic look in Voli's eyes, "Gah, fine young one. You hold the shield. More testing is needed for to get the full truth about this items abilities. Hold this." With that he handed the shield to Voli.
With that, Jebidiah began to run a series of tests:
1. Control the strength of a punch while Voli is holding it to see if the pain is mirroed or intensified..
2. Throw a small rock at the shield
3. Have Voli hit him with the shield.
4. Have Voli place the shield on the ground and then Jebidiah hits it and throws a rock at it.
5. Take some serious asprin, if needed.
"Here are the ways I would test it.
1. See if upon changing form the webbing shoots out or is stationary.
2. See what happens after activating and then swinging.
3. See what happens after activating mid swing.
4. Throw it at that tree and activate it mid air. Does it spread out in the air?
5. Throw it at that tree and activate it just before impact. How complete is the coverage?
6. See if you can tie people up with it.
7. See if you can use it as a repel from that tree.
8. How much webbing is in the dagger?
9. Is the bone easy to break when thin?"
Jebediah found that after a few impacts his head was starting to throb a little. He felt as though the pain might be being magnified, but it was impossible to tell if that was because of the cumulative effect or his judgement was being thrown off by the varying levels of pain.
Take some asprin as his head starts getting bad. While he waits for those to take effect they switch to testing the dagger. They then alternate between each item's testing as his pain levels permit.
Transformation from bone to webbing did not produce any kind of movement from the webbing, which seemed to take up twice as much space as the bone itself. Swinging the blade while transforming it caused the webbing to swing outwards and stretch, a similar but less effective situation occurred by transforming first.
While flying through the air the webbing spread out if it transformed while flying, and covered roughly a foot diameter area if change just before impact. Tying was awkward because the webbing was sticky and uncooperative. The bone was surprisingly rigid, even spread out quite thinly, as the webbing shrunk back down to the bone volume when hardened.
Impacts with the shield seemed to need direct contact to relay the pain, which was relative to the strength of the impact. Putting the shield on the floor yielded no effect, and the thrown rocks did not activate the enchantment.
With their basic testing finished, and a much clearer picture of how best to use the items, the two head back towards town. Jebidiah tries to dull his throbbing head...
A long time later, on the night before the war to retake Greevan, Arl walks into the woods beyond the rebel camp and begins performing the ritual of the Guide. At least the guide might help out Cee should something happen to her.
**A freepara came to Arl, a brilliant bird of countless colors, the most common being shades of red. Twice per encounter it can scratch someone with its talons, allowing it to take the form of that person's spirit animal instead for the next 5 posts.**

The bird gives an odd giggling sound before flying off. Arl tries to locate him, but she loses him in the woods. Somewhat confused, Arl walks out of the woods only to find the bird sitting on a tree a part from the others. It makes the sound again and flies off into the distance.
??? - See you later!
Deciding to refer to her new friend Mirth, Arl returned to the camp.

"Alright Voli, time to test that dagger of yours." He said while rubbing his temples and taking back the shield.
