**The House lies at the heart of the Rue Royale, on the grounds that occupy the buildings of the former Palais d’Honneur. A pair of high double-arched oak doors leads into the hall of the main chamber whose assemblage of seats surrounds the main circular forum. A raised dais is placed at the forefront where the Inner Council takes precedence over the formal sessions of government. High crystalline windows with a historical timeline of colored pictures from the monarchy until the modern era aligns the high ceiling, along with a handsome interlocking architecture of beamwork, carved faces adorn the dark wood. The current Arc Chancelier is Lord Sebastian Belmont; his associate councilors are the Chancelier du Soleil, Lord Charles D'Arcy; the Chancelier de Lune, Lord Renault D'Guéret; the Chancelier de Etoile, Lord Edmund Alexander de Hamza; the royal seats belong to House Ancien, and the current Countess Le Ancien; House Riven, the current Count Cardalu; and House Clermont, the current young lord, Nicholas de Montferrat.**
**A great deal of time later, Levana stalked down the Rue Royale towards the House of Lords, a crinkled paper in her hands. The Oathbreaker was in search of this Madame Rochev.**
Ahead of her there appeared to be a small desk set up, a woman in many layers of yellow silk sat behind, protected from the elements by a parasol large enough to cover her and the desk.
** Rain walks up to the twin oak doors that tower over the entrance to the House of Lords. When he enters he finds two others speaking to Madame Rochev and quietly gets in line behind them, attempting to listen into the conversation while not looking too suspicious.
Maren - "I am an accomplished machinist and I've had a bit of experience with ancient machinist relics as well. I would love the opportunity to inspect more of them though. I'm also capable of handling myself in a fight if it comes down to it. Though it would be better to have some people to watch my back if I'm working. If it's ancient tech it would be even better to have a second set of mechanically inclined eyes as well just in case it's out of my normal expertise."
Rain-(waits for a pause in the conversation then says) " sorry to eavesdrop but I heard you might be in the market for a mechanist who could help with some ancient relics? If so then I might be able to assist with that. My name is Morian'yeth, rain for short."
Rain-Yes I understand completely, I have had clock work on the mind since I was a boy. The way that the correct combination of small seemingly insignifigant pieces can create somthing complex and powerful is wonderful.

Rochev- We can't rule out the possibility of magical traps, third party trespassers or local fauna having taken up residence.

Maren - "Always a pleasure to meet a fellow tinkerer, what school do you study? The name's Maren by the way."

Rain- nice to meet you maren. I study clockwork specificly, I'm in the process of training at the mechanist guild. What is your field?
Mists extend from Maren's body into a thin cloud around him in his excitement.

He looked expectantly at Rochev.

Rochev- Let me ask you a question in return. Did any of you notice when it became night on your way into the city?
Levana - How... quaint. Yes, I noticed night fell shortly before I arrived and made it into the city, why?
