Recently I dealt with a nasty bit of trouble from a /b/tard in regards to my anime preferences. Guy took it way out of hand. Some of the things I saw should never be viewed by a mortal man or woman's eyes. Fortunately it only seemed to be two or three. I guess the basement dwellers saw their triad as new**** or something.
Anywho, in my search for protection (a proxy IP was suggested by computer lit professor) I found this video on youtube which tells you how to change IP. The guy in the video went to a proxy listing site and copy and pasted a working proxy IP into where his original IP was. It seems like a way to guard against peeps such as the aforementioned /b/tard.
But would doing such a thing not be illegal? It seems like impersonation or something. If it is illegal, what can I do to protect my computer, my home, and my family against these guys? I wouldn't want the kid learning any four letter words from the computer (save it for real life).
Thanks,

Jace was an awesome character and the neo-walkers seem like they will be a good concept given what I read in Agents of Artifice.
Proxy Servers are legal, useful, and a pretty good way to be a little more anonymous on the Internet. Your ISP might provide one for you. Mine does, but I rarely use it because it is slower than a normal connection. I can still turn it on with a few clicks if I need it though. I would definitely check into it if I were you. You might also consider turning on or installing a firewall for added protection.
