It just seems like the people at the GAP have way too much money to piss away on advertising. I'm so sick of friggin' Audrey Hepburn dancing around to ACDC. "Girl want to dance - Girl want to dance - Nothing more than a form of expression - Girl want to dance - Girl want to dance.." I'm so ready to shoot myself. I know it's not the fact that I watch too much TV, because I really don't, it's just that it's on every channel and on every 15 to 30 minutes, and my roommates always have the TV on in one room or another. I'm not going to ask them to shut off just because of this #@!?#$?@~&!!%&?@~!# commercial.
:mad1::mad1:BACK IN BLAAAAACCKK!!!:mad1::mad1:
Anyone feel my pain, or at least do you remember any really overplayed commercials that you felt similarly about, like the one with the American Idol winner, or ones having to do with specific movies?
In fact, I think overadvertising kills products. My parents are so sick of Taladega Nights commercials to the point that they think the movie is stupid, yet they haven't seen it, and they refuse to.
cant say i've even seen that commercial.... probably differs from state to state...... personally i am getting very tired of the Lori Berkner Band commercial (i watch nickelodeon alot and im uhhhh 18 but thats not the point).... the songs are really annoying and there is a misprint in the commercial where she says "Suzie has a cow on her head" but there is actually a PIG on her head..... if i ever met that woman.... i would punch her in the mouth
I've never seen it, either. I saw something in the entertainment section of the paper a couple days ago but I didn't even bother to read the article. I do know, however, from past experience, that most GAP/Old Navy/American Eagle/other-generic-"be-original-and-buy-our-clothing"-compay ads tend to be quite annoying.

"...because without beer, things do not seem to go as well."
I've grown tired of that comercial as well. I don't watch but five hours of tv a week and I've seen it too much (my tvs on the frits, so that doesn't really count).
Except for Monday. I gotta watch Prison Break and Vanished. So that's another two hours.
That comercial doesn't bother me so much, but it doesn't come on durring the shows I frequent. I always think Audrey is, at the very least, beautifull eye candy.
The comercial that absolutly drove me nuts, and made me want to invent a new gun, so that I could shoot my tv in new and interesting ways; was that stupid cell phone comercial. (and, by that, I mean all of them.)
I especially hate that one with that Black Eyed Peas song.
How many times can you say "My hump!"?
What type of moron would want to talk about there own "hump" in the first place?
I actually like that particular GAP commercial. Then again, I am fan of AC/DC as well as industrial music, which tends to contain similar sound samples from old movies and such. The rock/industrial mix was really neat in my opinion. I also thought the dance was well edited and mixed to match the beat of the song. I'm not a fan of the GAP in general though, but the commercial is cool.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned it yet, but the most annoying commercial that I think I've ever seen is:
HEAD-ON: Apply directly to the forehead!
HEAD-ON: Apply directly to the forehead!
HEAD-ON: Apply directly to the forehead!
ARG! They definitely over-advertised that product. It is burned into my brain, but I plan to never buy it simply because the commercial is so annoying. They even made another commercial making fun of themselves.
Yeah, Head-On goes without saying as an annoying commercial. I really don't watch much TV (sports, Around the Horn, The Daily Show, and The Colbert Report for me, thank you), but I'm never a fan of Old Navy commercials since they were very tacky in the past.
Yes I wholeheartedly agree. That really pisses me off. Somoen actually shares my views, WOW. I dont even know what it advertises.

Upon taking up the sleeping habits of Keith Richards (Which involves sleeping upside down like a bat to gain immortality),the only people left after the apocalypse will be Me, Keith, cockroaches, and goths and emo's. Man, its going to be a long eternity.
I say that if anyone thinks that ACDC is a rockin' band, they probably haven't seen enough commercials on TV.

i've been sick lately, and had to stay a few days at home... there were times that i would watch ANY movie on my movie channels because i didn't want to see advertisement...
and usually, i just watch one show: stargate, which is transmitted on it's... 6th season, this side of the rio grande

random, useless knowledge:
if we could line up every person that lives in china, and try to reach the last one walking, we would never be able to do it, because of it's demographic growth would get bigger and bigger and we could not be able to reach the end
Oh come on, it's Audrey Hepburn. I fail to see the problem. Anything that brings Audrey Hepburn or Gene Kelly in a way that's new, fresh, and kind of fun to watch is fine by me. That, and I've only ever seen it once on television.

There's nothing wrong with Audrey, she's very cute, but when I see her about 8 to 12 times a night saying the same phrase over and over, with ACDC's warcry as the cherry on top of it, there's a problem. Come on, you can't say you haven't ever grown tired of something you've liked before. You can't say you haven't grown irritated, even.
Oh, and I wholeheartedly agree with the guy that said ACDC fans must not watch much television. That also applies to Rolling Stones fans, most Beatles fans, and so on. So many old rock songs are just ground into the dirt by commercials, and beaten dead to the point that you will specifically avoid those particular songs.

Getting the last word does not mean that you win the argument.
First it was cute, then it was annoying, then it was stuck in my head, now I'm just irritated by it.
Some other really catchy tunes are the Old Navy commercial (the one with the clothes line and the people flying from the two buildings onto it) and the (I think) Casual males's commercial with the "Go boy go" song.
Go boy go, go boy go, go boy go0o0o0o0o0o0o, now STOP! and go some more!
I hate all forms of commercial advertisements. The ones that deliberately annoy you are the worst, as are the ones that don't give you a freaking CLUE what they are advertising.

now begins the thousand years of REIGN OF BLOOD!
please for the love of god i cant take this commercial anymore its on like 24/7
Awesome banner/sig, thanks so much to MasterBeeble, Topher, Gray, and the rest of the great guys at Aether !
The funny thing is that those cards don't even combo...
While the comments on Youtube usually suck, the bottom one is great: "If that guy's so rich why didn't he pay for better actors"
I've only seen it maybe 5 times so far, but it will get annoying fast. Mr. Bloody Minded has a good point about the mute button, also.
Thanks to R&Doom at Ye Olde Sig and Avatar Shoppe for the banner.
