Doom whispered does procrastinating value though....I mean surveillance two isn't the greatest but still provides solid value at the 5 drop slot that doesn't have a lot of other creatures of 5 drops for it.
I also think ravenous chupacabra needs to be in as a 2 of somewhere. You're not running much removal so getting a dude that removes a creature and that loop holes around hillside Fox's ability is a win win
Whisperer and Reaper really do a number for CA, much better than Treasure Map I ran in the last standard. Guildmage helps punch through those ground stalls and gives some cushion against other aggressive decks.
Anyway, what do y'all think? Glaring weaknesses? Too many lands? Any ideas for a sideboard?
I might need to replace Thrashing with some District Guide.
I think Ghalta is poorly positioned now and running a deck that wants double black and triple green is incredibly ambitious and a tough ask in terms of consistency. Id stick with a playset of Trophy's as your MB removal and call it a day. Im gonna start with something like
With my testing I have learned a couple things. Nullhide Ferox is a very difficult card for decks to deal with. Even if the opponent has the removal, spending that two extra mana can go a long way at slowing your opponent down. Kraul Harpooner has been very impressive and deals with the decks main weakness (flyers). Assassin’s trophy is a great catch all removal spell for this deck and it is best to use late game against your opponents best threat. I view my sideboard as a creature tool box. I will also bring in Vivien Reid to help find my important creatures in specific matchups such as black decks, graveyard decks and control decks centered around enchantment based removal. I see a lot of potential in this deck and I think it is well positioned as long as Boros and token based strategies become popular. I think our worst matchups are control decks featuring Teferi, Hero of Dominaria.
