After looking at the G/W Vanilla Beats deck, I thought I might try out a U/G version since I can run my favorite combo of Vesuvan Shapeshifter + Thelonite Hermit.
My usual deck is very spike-ish and unfun to play against, so I am mainly making this deck for casual play against the folks that don't like playing my other deck.
Im trying to err away from Ravnica block, but if theres something cheap that would help I guess Im not completely opposed to it.
For the sideboard, I think I want to go with the Sprout Swarm infinite combo, so I can sideboard into another fun deck to play against that works differently than the maindeck.
Anyone have any thoughts on tweaks that might help it out? Or other cards that interact in fun ways that might be worth including just for the fun factor?

I support WotC's goal of shaping Modern in favor of diversity.
I ran a thought experiment on my blog Modern in a Nuclear Wasteland
of an extreme case of banning 20 more cards to make sure they get everything, then scaling back where appropriate. WotC seems to be on a slowly build up approach. Both ways probably reach similar end points.
The post Gatecrash metagame is proving to be closer to the endpoint than I estimated, so its very possible that few (if any) more cards need to be banned.
i understand your trying to 'err' away from RAV block but Glare of Subdual in a deck with Thelonite Hermit is a must. I play that G/W Vanilla Beats you mentioned and Hermit & Glare work a Charm. And a question About Your Combo; when you copy the hermit with the shapeshifter do you get 4 1/1 saprolings?
Yes, but the main combo is with Brine Elemental, stopping them untapping permanently

Yes. The Shapeshifter will duplicate the creature's flip-over ability when it is copied by a flipping-over shapeshifter.
Hermit is fun because it makes 4 3/3s (base 1/1, +1/+1 from Hemit, +1/+1 from shapeshifter copying hermit).
He also has fun interactions with Fathom Seer, Willbender, and Brine Elemental.
Also note that you only pay the shapeshifters flip-over cost to get these effects, you do not need to pay the costs of the creature you are copying. So for instance, if you copy a Fathom Seer, you pay 1U to flip the shapeshifter, and do not need to return two islands to your hand.

Glare is awesome, but that would err me to 3 colors, and Im not sure its worth skewing the manabase like that.
