So with proliferate making an appearance alongside a counter strategy, and in addition to a Phyrexian commander, what are the chances we will see some Infect cards reprinted? I have low expectations and imagine they wouldn't, but even adding a few Infect cards to the deck would be a fun alternative to winning the game.

What do you think?
I can see it big time
Infect was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the no red commander.
It is possible, but i don't think there will be too much of it if it is there. 3-5 creatures, tops, I think, given how counter-synergistic the deck is. I expect cards like Contagion Engine and Inexorable Tide to show up in the deck, though

I can see there being a few infect cards, just to mix in an alternate win condition. That's what poison counters were for in the days before Infect; not that it was tremendously effective. And it's a great way to counter infinite life gain when Commander tax has become too high. I could see a few key reprints being useful in both the artifact and proliferate decks:
And the thing about having just a handful of poison counters in multiple decks, is that it could lead to political situations in multiplayer games. Then throw Phyrexian Unlife in the other white decks, and people have interesting choices to make. Maybe we'll see a reprint of Leeches in the group hug deck.
edit: of course, Leeches is on the stupid reserve list, so nm on that
To be completely honest, I don`t expect them to print a new card with infect ever again. And as for reprints? I don`t think there are enough of them to fill an EDH deck, and it`s not really something that you can do halfway.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
There's enough. Really there is, 40 lands, enough Proliferate Triggers, throw in the shells of Infect decks, and some pump spells you wouldn't normally play, and BAM, Infect EDH.
It would be Atraxa-colored because Red don't do Infect. It would be really easy to beat too.
My first EDH deck was a seriously budget build of Lord of Tresserhorn that used Doublestrike or Infect to knock out players as quickly as possible. The most expensive card was Command Tower at one time when it took down a few things in 1v1.

You may be right,
although I could see them bringing it back on expensive creatures only.
If they keep printing new Commander decks,
they may hit the theme eventually (maybe the next time they make a Sultai deck),
but given the casual nature of these decks (most especially, the fact they are meant to be played against one another),
it may not ever happen.
Atraxa makes a decent Infect commander.
White doesn't add much to the Infect angle,
but it lets you play cards like Swords to Plowshares,
which is basically drawback-free if you're playing Infect.
Momir Vig, Simic Visionary

Four (almost) any color mana rocks in Atraxa. Thats what happened to our Infect creatures. Damn 4 color requirement.
Sol Ring is an obligatory but we could have had Plague Myr.
Skittles, the Blight Dragon wouldn't fit well, but would be a cool thing to see reprinted.,. the new Crawler is really cool, but again, Plague Myr.
HOWEVER!!!
Ichor rats would make Infect/poison counters in this deck a HUGE thing with Atraxa Proliferating them. And the Revilark thing? That will bring the rats back if they go to the yard early.
The Atraxa deck is Simic and Abzan themed. +1/+1 counters to make the biggest nastiest OUTLASTIEST monsters possible. It isn't an Infect/poison counter deck, but IT CAN BE! Thrummingbird makes it very interesting with the new Double Striek enabling Duelist's Heritage.
I think with a more obvious multi-color manabase that we all can afford, (city/mana con/reflecting pool) and maybe a few fetches and shocks, we coudl cut down on land count, chuck out all the extra +1/+! counter themed stuff and go whole-hog on proliferate and poison counters! Plus, Wither stuff helps to break through defenses!
<<<<<<REALLY LIKES INFECT/WITHER/POISONOUS
EDIT:
Conversely, Ajani's Pridemate/Kavu Predator and that new Animation module would do so well here for more +1/+1 trigegrs and things. There's a distinct lack of small chump blockers in this deck.

But i hardly think it will make the cut. No one @WOTC likes Infect.
Selling some cards I don't want.
Generally less than tcg mid.

But several decks built on tapped out are focused on infect
I can see combining the default theme but adding infect cards. So the infect creatures can be pumped to Blightsteel Colossus
