I am excited for the fall and winter sets then, set on dominaria, but they kinda ruined kamigawa for me and capenna looks similarly futuristic. I don't want futuristic on my magic cards, I already hated kaladesh.
Capenna looks futuristic? Honestly, I was getting Ancient Rome vibes from that New Capenna art.
Hm, looks to me more like a less technological fantasy version of the 1920s to be honest, with the markings and the frames of the buildings similar to Art Deco, a style I really like. I don't really see the "futuristic" aspects though, I think Kaladesh is way more technologically advanced. It is potentially on the same level as Ravnica, just with a different focus. Neon Dynasty looks very advanced though, but we have to wait and see what exactly happened to Kamigawa in the last... 2000 years they said? The timeline on the wiki says it's more like 1300 years, but whatever. I'm excited for it. And I think it is actually the case that there are still rural areas on Kamigawa with way lower technological sophistication. Overall I like where they are going with the core sets and I'm also excited for a new Un-Set and to be honest, the LotR set.
