I agree with too much stuff, but if anything, Modern Horizons 2 is the set I'm excited for since Modern is my favourite format and it also gave some cool cards for Commander.
As long as they don't print anything that kills tron, then I basically don't care about what else they print now that we got Counterspell hehe.
For this set all I'm thinking is "how many cards are going to warp the formats" like last time with Hogaak, Astrolabe, and Wrenm and Six. So far nothing screams obviously super powerful, and Counterspell is likely needed for the format, but I'm just waiting for that $40 card that will need to be banned immediately, but stick around for a year.
Honestly, no. As someone with very specific demands, most releases do not appeal to me, and I only wanted 3 cards out of everything released in Strixhaven. So I am really hoping MH2 has more of what I am looking for. Misty Rainforest is a good start.
That's the way every set is for me as well. I look for specific things and while fetches are great with them going to stick at $25 a piece from people grabbing everything they can it will be the same. I'll end up looking for the those three cards that are exciting and nothing more.
My issue is I can't keep everything straight anymore. I used to remember a majority of a set by name, but now that they've tripled the amount of releases it's hard to get excited about all of them when I'm going to forget most of it.
Anyone else a little tired of the constant stream of major releases? Strixhaven hasn't even been out for two weeks and we're already into looking at the next big set.
I miss when it was set, product, set, product, product, set. Now it's set, set, set, product, 5 products, set, set.
Yeah, that's not going to help prices at all
Either way I'm excited to see the set, but I'd be more than happy if the whole set is bad but the Counterspell rumours are true hehe.
Even if Counterspell is in it decisions like these are becoming more frequent and I'm liking them less and less as time goes on.
I'm really excited to see what's in the set, but man... they're just pushing so much product out, there's barely a week without some sort of spoilers and new release.
And sad to hear about the potential price increase again, but I guess we'll find out soon.
The other unfortunate thing is that there seems to be a lower print run of draft boosters, Strixhaven levels of draft boosters, but plenty of collectors.

If the draft boosters are $7 again it's likely to be the $100 VIP packs (so stupid), $30+ collector packs, $10 set booster.
