I am only a teeny-tiny bit mollified by the fact that Jack played a strong game and very much had me town-reading him before I died.
It was also a super risky game that probably shouldn't have worked, but then there were some pretty unfortunate actions that happened after.

And there's like 15 hours until the deadline. Rhand would seem pretty much toast here, but there was definitely a lot of flailing at the deadline.
Killjoy will then make his push against Jack and vote Jack in #605. I'm not really evaluating that move right now, just noting it.
Highroller follows Killjoy onto Jack at #614. He says "I want Rhand to roleclaim" but nothing else about him.
Rhand's claim comes at #615. Robocop - Town Gifter.
Killjoy is the first to react to Rhand's claim. He doesn't express belief in it, or support for Rhand, he prods Rhand some more for his reads. And I can't help but feel that if Killjoy is trying to save his buddy at this time, he would have made some kind of point that the role doesn't make a lot of sense for scum, is verifiable, etc. He just doesn't do that. It does not feel like a buddy interaction to me.
Eco., who is voting Rhand, makes some of these points, but it's obviously not enough to get him to move his vote.
ZDS posts at #626 and is still pushing for an Eco. vote. Doesn't have a lot to say about Rhand, but is suspicious of the Jack counter-wagon, so that's good.
Vaimes posts at #632 and says nothing directly about the role-claim, just that his vote is not leaving Rhand. Rude if that's his scum-buddy.
I post at #644. I don't think the claim is good enough to not yeet Rhand over, but I'm still favoring Eco. I also say that I will review this case Killjoy is making against Jack to see if I think anything is there. That was all true, but make of it what you will.
TerRaine switches from me to Eco. at #646, which perhaps makes Eco the serious alternate. Says she is taking Rhand's claim with a grain of salt. I agreed with her criticism of Eco here.
Rhand finally places a vote, and chooses the Jack counter-wagon at #658. That has to be a good look for Jack, when Eco was sitting right there for him to hop. No reason to make the choice between yourself and your buddy if you don't have to.
Now, Eco and Jack each have 3 votes as potential alternates to Rhand still sitting at 5.
I had forgotten, but Jack Unvotes here - so that other vote I tallied for him wasn't actually the final vote. (I thought I had remembered his vote coming closer to the deadline.) Reason for the unvote seems to be mainly because he thinks the role is provable and could create problems for scum if true. My conclusion on Killjoy's Jack case comes at #680, and, pat myself on the back here because I don't see it. I tell Killjoy he should move his vote, and he seems to agree and unvotes Jack in #682.
Killjoy does not immediately hop the Eco. wagon, which is a plus, though he does seems to be prepping himself to vote that way in #685.
And now we're at 90 minutes to deadline. Rhand has 4 votes and Eco has 3.
Highroller, still voting Jack, does not pick a side, but asks that question in #690 about site-meta and Rhand's claim that I didn't care for.

Sorry if I misrepresented your early forum activity, Highroller. I could have sworn you played some of those early games in addition to the one you moderated, but maybe my memory of 15 years ago is failing and/or just mixing up games with MTGNews.

Grapefruit at #519. This is not a bad look either. It does re-solidify the Rhand-wagon which had previously petered out. Rhand is now the clear leader. Had Grape not completely disappeared for the remainder of the day it would look a lot better.
ZDS comes back at #538 and (re)votes Eco., which kind of makes Eco a legit counter-wagon to Rhand. And I mean, yeah, it could be an attempt to save his scum-buddy, but if that's what it is, it's pretty good. I'm biased since I was already voting Eco. I think the Rhand-Eco count is 4-2 now. Jack, maybe notably, does not hop this counter-wagon. I state I would move to Rhand at #559.
I guess #561 is interesting from Killjoy, in as much as he makes a real big post with lots of reads and comes down pretty firmly with Rhand-scum. But does not vote Rhand. I think he was voting for Sloth, and stayed voting Sloth here, despite having Rhand more scummy and the deadline coming up. I don't know if he's ever talked about that. Have you, Killjoy?
