Game of Thrones was a fantastic property with a pretty disappointing letdown in later seasons. I suppose it would be fitting to have a Secret Layer featuring Game of Thrones.

Even if you disagree with someone's opinion it would foster a much more positive environment if you didn't call people whiners or otherwise negatively mischaracterize them. It does nothing to further discussion and only serves to antagonize people you disagree with. I'd like to be able to state my opinions on this board without being met with rudeness.

Why does any criticism always have to be twisted into "screaming," "whining," and "crying?" Can't people have opinions without being denigrated? It's not hard to be civil and be intellectually honest about people's concerns.

Honestly I think we should just stop feeding the troll at this point. Any reasoning or asking them to be civil will just be met with more of their bad attitude and "no u"

So you're saying that there was in fact at least one conspiracy discussed here? Hmmmm
I'm saying that using the unrealistic theory of MTGS' resident conspiracy theorist (no offense, CSJ, but you did once claim that we need to get more concerned about EMPs) isn't solid ground to build much of an argument. Much ado about nothing, as I said.
I don't think all of the other posters here are doing that. I do believe that there is a vocal minority of the community that tends towards that, though.
If you say so, I don't really see it. If anything, you and Cranky seems to be the vocal minority behaving in tiresome ways. I'm honestly unsure what you're hoping to achieve here, it just seems like you're trolling at this point.
So yes, there was a conspiracy posted? And somehow, of the people who've taken issue with me mentioning it, the person who posted it isn't one of them? Seems like much ado about nothing lol
Wait, you're claiming that the only vocal minority are the two people with an opinion that doesn't reflect the general user of a small, niche fan site? I'm not sure you are understanding the words we are using.
How am I trolling?
What exactly are any of us trying to achieve on a backwater Magic the Gathering site? I wasn't aware there was anything to achieve here.
Yes there was a conspiracy posted. When you talked about how Wotc may be releasing TWD cards to push players you don't like out of the community. Yes that is an unlikely and unfounded conspiracy that you brought up.
And yes you are being uncivil and extremely rude. And misinterpreting things in order to paint the community in a bad light. And making dubious claims about how victimized you've been by "the bad people" and how that gives you a right to be awful to others. And if anyone points it out, you say, "What, little old me?" All of that makes people believe that you're not acting in good faith. Seriously just act civilly. No one comes here because they want to be the target of yours or Cranky's vitriol.

I've seen quite a bit of toxicity and just general nasty rudeness on this site and Reddit and it sure isn't coming from the people voicing concerns about TWD cards or interested in exploring a new format.
"Crazy," "stupid," "whiners," "entitled," comparing other people to nazis and pedophiles in other communities. It's a really disgusting attitude to have and direct at other people in the Magic community. But I think the individual(s) that talk like this are not the norm. They are toxic individuals that speak loudly and unfortunately their awful opinions and comments are fostered instead of quashed on some sites.
Funny, I've been told that I am a fascist piece of ***** for buying a few of these Secret Lairs, that I should be refused service at any LGS I go to for it, that I am a r-slur and am actively trying to ruin the game. And the only evidence of this has been the phantom fears of people who can't decide what exactly they are upset about.
I don't think it is toxic to point out whining. I don't think it is toxic to point out entitled behaviors. Being whiny, and behaving as though you are owed things that you haven't earned? That is toxic.
Okay well you say that happened to you and maybe it did, idk. But my examples were taken from just this page of this thread. So please, keep it civil. You don't need to be nasty to us because someone else hurt you.

I'm not sure that money changed hands directly. But it's possible the RC was profiting off of their decision to rubber stamp anything Hasbro wants to do to the players. Jobs, interview fees, merchandise, playing Magic: The Stock Market, are all some of the ways RC members could profit from selling the community's integrity for access in the corporation.
I don't know that any of this is happening but other people with power and access have been known to profit off of their positions and I would prefer if the entity running Commander had transparency and ways to prove that they were on the up and up instead of just having to just trust a company employee and fellow committee members that they are ethically distancing themselves. I really hope none of this is true but even just having to wonder is doing a number on me and at this time discouraging me from spending more money on the game.
'A certain amount of overreaction' is a ridiculous understatement. Have you SEEN that petulant, churlish, melodramatic video put out by TCC that folks are pointing to and agreeing with?
The folks at WotC are good people. They want to make the game fun for everyone and nerds demonstrably LOVE when you mash up their favorite things, so of course they jumped at the chance to put two and two together. This was supposed to be a nice surprise for everyone who loves TWD or zombies, and they even made absolutely sure that the cards weren't anywhere near broken to keep the whiners from mewling, but no, we have to ***** all over their hard work for no legitimate reason. God forbid they try to make money as a business while doing cool things for us.
Magic players are such entitled, mean-spirited ******* gremlins.
You know I only see you being mean-spirited. Maybe you can let people have their own opinions without flaming everyone? TIA

It reminds me of early "realistic" video game humans
