Yeah...the IRL stuff is all 100% legit, I definitely did not have the game on my mind leading into end of D1 and have been insanely busy and not the player I used to be. Telling the truth didn't hurt any here, so I did that, and probably would have done the same as town.
I'm not clear on exactly what the implications of claiming at this point would be, but I do think the slip is pretty clear-cut if fonti is claiming GD.
Skimmed up to the present real fast, but without much comprehension on all the role-related issues. Need to bone up on the setup in the OP a lot more. Was feeling pretty good about Umami, until that possible scum-slip. Want to reread that interaction next coupled with the OP info.
So sorry everyone, I got caught up IRL and forgot this existed. My wife is pregnant again, but she's on the first trimester and is incredibly fatigued and nauseous right now, so a ton of extra stuff like cooking dinner and wrangling kids is falling on me. I'll try to catch up on what I missed, soon as I can, but just got tapped for kids'second dinner and then bedtime duty.
If it's just a "mistake" why not make the correction when I call you out on it? Town players fix misinformation they're spreading they don't just say "**** it" and hope no one notices.
Your argument seems to be"Oh well she's pushing for someone to be lynched other than herself so she HAS to be scum!" which yea scum would do....but so would a town mislynch. I could easily argue that you saw I doubted you and shoved me to the bottom of your list so you could make this push when I inevitably voted for you. I'm supposedly your scummiest read and yet you make no mention of me or my behaviors in all of 249.
You push back at Fonti with sarcasm for being wrong about you.
You bristle at Osie accusing you of asking others to do your work for you.
You accuse Tubba of "twisting [Osie's] analysis into a scum-tell."
And yet not a single mention of how you read your supposedly strongest scum suspect.
You're right, I didn't address your more recent posts in that particular post. That's because unlike you, I respond to material as it jumps out at me. Naturally, not warped around a set agenda. If you don't post something I see as problematic, you stay off my radar. When you do, I will call you out, which is exactly what I did in my next post.
But feel free to continue trying to make a capital case out of the fact that I didn't mention you in one of my posts. It makes it a hell of a lot easier for people to see you for what you are: desperate, deflecting, caught scum who will stop at nothing to wriggle out of a D1 lynch.
Isn't Ter like pretty experienced? Would she really resort to the 'most classic scum tactic in the book' under a little bit of pressure? I mean, the only reason she would conceivably do that is because she thought her rep is so good that people would automatically dismiss her doing that as not scum indicative because she wouldn't be that rookie, but no one besides me has brought up this possibility and I don't even know her. Which to me means that would be an uber risky tactic for no reason and that pretty much everyone has jumped on this wagon is at least a little alarming. It's actually especially funny since she had an out/had time to develop a response and chose that. That said, could be some hard core busing by Azrael
Anyway, vote Azrael
Yes. Because frequently, it works for them. You're getting into WIFOM territory here, and it's probably not helping evaluate it clearly.
TerRaine's trying to argue that because she voiced preexisting suspicions various places throughout the thread, we should ignore that what triggered her to place a vote was being placed at the very bottom of my scum list and receiving pressure from multiple quarters. When you're scum under attack, if you are the only wagon, you're going to die. Plain and simple. Because she doesn't want to die, she has to respond to the pressure against her by presenting on alternative, and fooling some townies into joining it. Otherwise, the town takes her out by default, and with a coalition forming against her she had no choice but to act.
RE: TerRaine's latest, Osie calling her out out on being repeatedly disingenuous hits the nail on the head. I misread the vote count. But you then twist that error into a completely self-serving narrative that I was trying to "deceive" the town about publicly available information. This is one of the easiest ways to pin down scum. Because they don't evaluate evidence and behavior from an objective standpoint, they twist every piece of information to serve their agenda and take the least charitable interpretation of everything, even if it makes no sense whatsoever.
She's having similar issues reading and interpreting behavior from other players organically as well, such as Sloth. Her scum-hunting and behavior-reading is badly skewed, she's having to fake responses and act artificially, and it's tripping her up and leading to odd reads and nonsense rationales for her positions.
I’m pretty sure you’re intelligent enough to know that the numbers 242, 246, and 247 come before 250.
Yet like the fake claim you made that I put you at 3 votes..ya paint my pressure and vote on you as a defensive knee jerk reaction of scumslotting that came out of no where
But Again....don’t let me stop you from making ***** up out of thin air.
When in danger, deflect. It's the most classic scum tactic in the book, and you're demonstrating it beautifully. Carry on.
Me: Sloth's play feels weird in this game and reminds me of when Sloth was scum in another game.
Also Azrael: NOT LIKE THAT!
Pretty sure you're intelligent enough to know the difference between providing meta information, and using meta to make a bad case against a townish player.
Terraine - Tired. Probably playing poorly but seems more like she’s trying to not get stressed and pissy over a game for once than anything else
Umami- The whole exchange about claims while I still stand by saying is a bad idea seems genuine from her end….backs off instead of getting defensive when I point out that there are flaws in her proposition. I like this
Fulcrum - The exploring roles and game play strategy comes across as towny to me. Scum always seems to thrive in chaos imo and D1 is always prime for that so this method def. brings that percentage of that down. She’s reading people’s tone on top of their actual play. Not seeing particular scum tells here and if she is well seems we’re screwed.
Osie- Jesus christ big wall is big. Start was rough for me as it felt like there was a lot of pushing for reads without much content as to the WHY of them…until there was almost all the content. Still reading through a lot of the analysis but getting town vibes from it as I go.
Tubba - Feeling kinda neutrally as type this on page two. He’s answering questions but not really putting out an feelers of his own. Correct me if wrong but don’t think he actually asked a question for the game until #124. Even then its done in an odd hedging manner there’s no teeth to it.
Sloth-God he’s ******* annoying to play against. His fixation on my first few *****posts of the game being a scum tell is weird but not sure I see it as scummy as it could easily just be an over correction after he missed me being scum in the last game we played.
I’m not a fan of the fact he just keeps downplaying as dismissing me as not doing anything. I’ve definitely been MIA but I don’t think the whole claim talk qualifies as not trying to figure out the game…and it’s not like he somehow missed me in that cause he asks me directly to clarify my thoughts on something i said during it. After I post whether it be a question for a player like in #69 (hah) or answering and playing catch up in #242 he pops up to undermine it by saying “oh she’s not doing anything to solve the game”
I find the ***** with Az weird too….he insists on finding out why there was such a strong scum read…asks twice for it and just says ok pocket me! once Az drops the vote.
His drive on me feels forced and reminds me of the Wonk game on DLP where there was a lot of activity from him like there is here…but it alway kept coming back to trying to force a lynch on me.
Azrael - Like I’ve said…the odd level of certainty in the original sloth vote and then when pressed on it, not only does he give a cop out reason but just drops it and refuses to address it again.
Find 41# that he takes up on me pressing Osie for placing so much weight on wording but looks the other way for sloth doing the same thing in 35#.
In fact for all of Sloth’s complaints that I’m not contributing solving the game I wonder where that same drive is for Az. #249 is a long post but there’s no much meat to it. Most of it seems to be a defense of his own meta and whether certain things are NAI for him. There’s little drive or push….just a lot of text and a read wall with no support.
vote Azrael
Pretend that I'm voting you - not placing it solely to avoid accidental hammer. Hunh, wait a minute - you put me to three yourself, didn't you? Vote TerRaine.
There's a ton of problematic vote/read reasoning in this post. Strategy posting is not a solid rationale to clear someone. Weird != scummy, regarding Sloth or anyone else. That's the world's most traditional scum tell, calling something innocent weird in order to justify a lynch. Attacking a larger post that was never intended to be a sweeping case on anyone, and explicitly stated where additional reads would need to be focused, is a terrible look also. And sloth as a scum-leaning read? I feel like most people are seeing the glaringly obvious town tells in posting, he's basically painting a neon sign on himself that screams "I'm a townie!" at this point (slight exaggeration, but this is a pretty bad, superficial read on him). This reads like someone who is determining what their reads are going to be in advance, then retroactively coming up with plausible sounding rationales. It's not even original - it's just regurgitating points that other players had raised without critically thinking any of it through for validity. And then quickly pushing the vote to -1, to avoid a lynch against herself. Not to mention retaliation/self defensiveness, for having put you at the bottom of my list a couple posts ago. Funny how that immediately resulted in a vote against me. Really coherent scum mindset lying behind this post. Murder with fire, please.
Also, if I pegged the witches in that last post, can you please NK me? There's a shiny new specialty open and I want to be able to claim a moral victory and then go play in it. TIA!
When you said this, what was your mindset? Gimme some detail here, so I can throw acid on you more effectively for this. kthxbye.
