I've been doing Rock, Paper, Scissors for a while now as well. A word of note, it helps ease some players minds if they select both cards, one to keep, one to give to you. It's difficult to shuffle around three cards without looking like some street hustler.
Winner would be determined which creature would die during appropriate gameplay. Basically Dervish would attack while Lynx blocks for example. Dervish is draw, Lynx is play. I think this could also be a method for determining who plays first in 3 or 4 player multiplayer games.
One possibility would be creatures with protection. Like thus:
Whirling Dervish green with protection from black
Spectral Lynx White w/pf Green
Knight of Stromgald black w/pf White
