I missed the part with Flash, I was just disappointed with the "your opponent controls" part.
I guess it's OK as a defensive combat trick or to get a Planeswalker off the board but not much else. I would happily pay an extra or all blue if I could target any nonland permanent OR target my opponents lands as well.
Well, it does say petty theft. So she feels bad and gives it back to its owner!
Also, with Adventure in this set, I understand they needed the opponents-only clause. Otherwise you could bounce your own creatures and Adventure them again. Without the opponents-only clause, Realm-Cloaked Giant and Brazen Borrower would probably be really good friends.
Bouncing lands for 1U a la Boomerang and Eye of Nowhere is horribly unbalanced. And then you get a 3/1 evasive beater after stopping your opponent's T2 tempo? Unless black got Sinkhole again, I can't imagine they'd allow a 2 mana land bounce in standard any time soon.
i'm not really a fan of its name. what's it borrowing? the name implies theft not bounce.
as for it being mythic... it doesn't feel mythic at all. it feels like a card that someone said omg this needs to be mythic because it MIGHT be bounced and recast, alternatively someone else said this needs to be mythic because it stands out as a good card in a sea of bad ones and we need a lotto card to sell this set.
either way... bad form r&d. bad form.
