I absolutely love this card. Easy replacement for Hero's Downfall where I run that. The life loss is negligible for the added value and self-recursion.
Now, I can't recall, have they addressed how Adventures work outside of the hand/field? Can I mystical tutor for one for instance? Or if one is in my yard (obviously not here), can I Snapcaster it?
Adventures are just creatures outside of the battlefield. While their visuals resemble split cards, the handling of their rules baggage has more in common with DFCs, and for good reason. The rules explicitly prevent instants and sorceries from ever being on the battlefield, with plenty of extra loophole-closing text to stop players from getting any funny ideas.
"While Beanstalk Giant is on the battlefield, just ignore the Adventure and all its text. While the card is in your hand, your graveyard, your library, even exile, it has only the characteristics of the creature, not the Adventure. For example, if you cast a spell that lets you search your library and find a creature card, you can find Beanstalk Giant. But if you cast a spell that lets you search your library and find an instant or sorcery card, you won't be able to find Fertile Footsteps."
