Yeah i started this thread thinking id write it about the salt and what to do incase it happens. But didnt know for sure if i was at fault or if he was just targetting me
Ye. Thats also a smart option. Casting a second spell in my priority like bandage, preventing 1 dage and drawing a card. And when that resolves i can make it indestructable. Thanks that makes alot of sense
Alright. So sneaking in an indestructable spell after a boardwipe of yourself is not possible, that makes the indestructable spell a huge waste if the boardwipe gets countered. Good to know, thanks.
We dont really pass priority when we cast spells but just ask if anyone wants to response to it.
Not sure if i want to introduce that priority passing and possibly ruin the casually way we play. But it would be helpfull for my learning if i ever decide to play competitive
In advance, im not english raised so there will be some/alot of typos.
I was playing edh today with my feather the redeemed deck and a player got really salty with me because in his head i played wrong, so id like to explain them here and see if i played them right.
1st thing:
Played a boardwipe, blasphemous act. When no1 countered it and every1 said ok i said in responce ill made my commander indestructable with a 1 plains instant.
2nd thing:
Other player then mr salty tried to destroy 3 non creature cards with that 9/9 green creature that gives you a 3/3 elephant. He targetted my aria of flame with 5 counters on it. Then something of another opponent, that player picked up a token and put his card in gj. Then thought for 5-10 seconds and said he didnt wanna target another target. I said in responce ill play 3 instants and it turned out to be enouf damage from aria to kill the 9/9 creature playing owner so the other player had to put his card back from gj.
These were both in the same game in witch i was going pretty well, drawing the right answers and ended up winning the last game of the night (after losing 4 games).
He got real salty after it saying that he didnt like me and after asking him he said it was because of above 2 examples.
He said because the other player already put his card in his gj, i was to late to respond to it (he said that after the game, not during)
And we didnt discuss the first example because i didnt wanna escalate it further and just appoligized saying that ive been playing for half a year now and still make mistakes and it was my second fnm playing this deck.
I know every1 gets salty every now and then and its rough if certain cards you play dont get any value while others do. But my deck was mostly derping around the other games while he was pretty strong.
I can understand he doesnt like playing agianst my deck cause it has alot of answers on target destroy cards and some other effects, but it wasnt happening the preveous games, plus hes playing a ninjiutsu deck where he was burning every1 for up to 13 damage some turns so i didnt interfere with his plan at all night.

Not sure if it matters but the deck is roughly a budget version of:
