Thanks for the host Tom, I know it was short but still very appreciated!
Sorry Osie for the miss, real problem was I was never lynching Rhand so we would have been in trouble no matter if I got you or Lngrrr right. I do feel bad though, please understand it was nothing personal and just a bad.play on my part
KJ not voting for the confirmed scum in his world is a thing I should have noticed earlier and didn't. Why are you waiting? Something to remember for tomorrow potentially.
Lngrrr focusing and rereading rhand makes zero sense either as stated above. Why can't either of you act like townies here?
Rhand is town, locking that in and conceding if I am wrong. He could only be scum with lngrrr and his play today and in general has been too consistently from a town perspective to be fake.
That leaves three, and Osie claiming Miller is more likely to come from scum than town. (He's either Miller, or him or his buddy is framer, or that token was not used and as such that team knows it's a safe false claim). Also re evaluating my alignment because of my reads makes no sense, the quality of them has no bearing on what shadow did yesterday and is only serving to try and discredit me.
We could beat about the bush on this forever, it's time to take a stand. Vote Osie
I'm reading through the thread and the interactions and Osie game solving from everyone's perspectives. Which thanks for those, and in my eyes the team is either KJ/Osie or Lngrrr/Rhand. Lngrr could be scum with a couple other players but I just don't see that currently, looking mainly at those other two teams.
Rhand feels very town today so far, not really interested in lynching him. Lngrr could be scum with.one of the other two but his posts with them feel pretty genuine in their back and forth about dead townies and their reads.
Reading through today with KJ/Osie in my mind, I can't shake that first page of today as just scum theater, where they had a safe back and forth with each other. Like Osie talking about cantrip as if he's alive, KJ immediately retorting with derpclear denied, everything in their interactions feels way too safe.
Rhand and Lngrrr read through the first 70 posts of today, tell me if you see what I see.
I was the alignment cop, and I chose Cantrip because he was getting rolling and when he does he posts so much that I have a hard time discerning his alignment through all the words. Turns out he's town. But we all know that now. Boooo
If I interpret votes right so far Rhand can only be scum with Lng? So I would rather look at lngrrr, and so far I haven't seen anything that says yes can't be scum even if I ignore Osies claim. Any vote interactions I missed with him?
Sorry I have done most of nothing today, got wrapped up in mechanics and couldn't really get a bead on anyone after that, weird as KJ was. He is also my Desperado vote, not picking myself lol
@Cantrip KJ is a but scummy, the I'm dying tonight comment struck me a bit weird. Lng has posted some decent questions which I like. Bit of a townlean currently.
The thing with T/S lists and such this early is that there is very little to go off of in terms of posts and points of reference. People doing that too early are trying to get towncred for simply stating ratings. It's busy work, it doesn't help much, doesn't really tie you to anyone, it's a good scum tactic.
Like we are not even 200 posts into this game and people are iso'ing and such and everyone wants a no lynch! This means nobody has to do anything really meaningful in terms of indicating alignment, and yet people keep posting lists and everything.
@Cantrip how confident are you in those reads? You're either amazing at parsing out scum from rereads or lying, and hoping that wall gives your some tasty towncred. Without any real votes or wagons our behavioual analysis is suspect at best
Blegh this game is difficult, since a no lynch looks pretty likely nobody's voting or really doing anything besides discussing mechanics and a bit of meta. Honestly if we're going to no lynch then let's just get to it since otherwise we'll just spin our wheels for days before hand anyway.
Sorry been a busy couple days, and I'm going to be away with no internet for the weekend, will be back and posting Sunday evening though.
@KJ Got a townread on Shadow, his initial thought about no lynching and subsequent questions read to me as genuine game solving, and not prying for information or trying to slant us in a way that's bad for the town.
No lynching feels wrong, but every time I try to come up with a reason why I fail to do so just on a pure logic basis. Which is really annoying honestly. Best I can say is it feels like playing to not lose vs. playing to win
Maybe I'm just slow or Rusty but what are the merits of no lynching with a claimed Miller? Shadow mentioned it and others seed to jump right on board but I don't understand the benefits to us going that route.
I'm inclined to believe Osie, right now it's just a bunch of wine with no other information or actions, as the downside. But, that was at the cost of playing Miller properly. The game is balanced around all the roles so we can't try and break the game right now knowing that, tomorrow though maybe.
This game is going to be won based on analysis, and not mechanics, so I propose we start by going that route.
Rhand sounds eager to get to the night phase in 67, which comes across as scummy to me, especially as it's in context of pushing no lynching which I don't think benefits the town. Slight town points to KJ and Shadow, KJ for asking for people to post so he could get reads, and Shadow for thoroughly talking through after Osies claim
@Cantrip Hiding in the shadows is what I do best though, but I couldn't stay away forever!
Will be around starting tomorrow, spent all of my day reading through things.
Osie you are the one who makes T/S lists way earlier than basically anyone right? I remember seeing that in a different game and hating it but can't recall if that was you

Thoughts to come later...

Maybe I'm wrong, if so I will be the first to say as such in the post game.
Is everyone ready to end today? Seems like discussion is tailing off a bit but not sure if people want to talk night actions a bit

I like that question to Osie about that original Miller claim and am intrigued to hear the answer.
Being conf Town takes all the weight off, let's see if I can push us forward the right way. Probably going to start with a full reread

I'm not certain it's the best move yet but will think about it today, it seems to hinge on the scum vig.
@Rhand ah okay, I agree with you then. Just had time for a quick glance through the thread and genuinely though wanted us to end the day already.
