With either commander you're going to be playing Archenemy - granted your opponents have any idea how those two are usually built.
Let's just say Extra Turns and Stax are rarely perceived as core components of casual EDH. If you want your games to be more of a group experience than a game of Solitaire i'd clearly stear away from either.
For the past year i've been running an Edric, Spymaster of Trest list without Extra Turns and while it's rather "fair" i'd still say it's anything but classic casual or anywhere close near political. Best chances against a strong Edric, Spymaster of Trest are if you're drawing cards off him to deal with him. Not much politics involved in that.
If i were you i'd build a non-Stax Derevi, Empyrial Tactician deck that goes all out on good yet fun (un)tap things like Proteus Staff.
Alternatively i'd go for an actual casual commander, as all your current commanders are top tier-ish or at least strong enough to compete. I currently have 13 decks and having a range of power levels is as handy as it's fun. Yes, i do have Edric, Spymaster of Trest and Prossh, Skyraider of Kher in my line-up, but i also have Traxos, Scourge of Kroog as well as i'm working on a Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle "Eggs" build.
