Nothing to worry about. Ruma was obvious scum today really. I just got too excited trying to break the game mechanically.
@Cether who did you target N1?
I targeted you (scissors beat paper = win) and tracked you going to Cantrip, which was like the first thing you said on day two. I really didn't want to claim/say anything about that because it was already known info.
I was thinking to counter claim Ruma's cop claim since I was an investigative role but I wasn't sure if there could be two in a micro, I think on page 4 or so I asked if two would be reasonable in a micro especially with the R/P/S making roles less consistent. No one responded to it so I just let it be.
I well given vanilla-izer is a role I'd expect from scum not town in a mod gaming sense I'm more than happy to guess shadow blocked Ruma from making the kill.
Even if it was a protect or Shadow gambiting I like our odds after tonight.
I think we need a mass claim and a plan for tonight. I'm happy to let Cantrip do his own thing and be exempt from that. Without more information I think I should target Shadow and win. Shadow should block whichever of Manasi and Cether he judges better and should probably have the win over either of them.
Grape this was your plan right?
So your going to Doctor Shadow.
Shadow will cage Manasi/Me.
Cantrip does whatever.
So in the scenario we do that and the scum chooses not to kill or is unable to kill do to being jailed, we can at least gain information using the other four remaining players abilities though right?
Because Ruma was jailed and no one died, either Ruma is the scum or Ruma was the target of the attack.
I mean there is also the scenario where Shadow claims jailer but actually is just the scum but didn't fire.
Unless the redirect/bus still goes through even if you would die at night.
So if we no lynch and constantly jail Ruma, and no one dies, can we just assume its Ruma?
Is Grape effectively cleared as town since the doctor/bodyguard claim and no counter claim of a protective role? I mean unless Ruma comes in and counter claims which would be great since it’s one or the other.
I don’t really want to claim what I chose yet, but I think a lot of people have the same idea where you hide your throw hoping to catch someone in a lie with it later but then no one wants to claim and then we get nothing. So I might as well give mine out so people who contribute better than me can use the info.
I guess it doesn't hurt to share with the class. My ability is that on a Win I protect my target (doctor) on a Draw I bodyguard my target and on a loss nothing. I said I preferred draw because it gives a body while protecting someone more important than me.
Well, THAT's interesting. I guess I need to wait until Shadow, Manasi, and Ruma check in, then. Without going into any detail, I can say that if Grape is telling the truth, his ability was NOT why we didn't have a NK.
Will you share why if Grape did protect you, it’s not the reason we had a nightkill, when everyone checks in?
@Cether: In a game this size, I would find it very odd to have more than one town protective role; if you're a protective role, counter claiming Grape would be, imo, a game-ender.
I am not a protective role, I just thought that keeping two people alive via doctor would be strictly better than losing the bodyguard.

Grape: Choose Paper N1 vs Cantrip (P167), Doctor/Bodyguard/Nothing(P171)
Cether: Nonprotective Role (P176), Chose Scissors (P196)
Cantrip: Know Grape didn't win vs self (P177)
Manasi: Targetted Cantrip w Scissors (P178/185), Nothing/Neighborize/Nothing (P271)
Shadow: Picked Scissors (P200) Jailed Ruma last night. (P230)
Ruma: Targetted Shadow (P241), Cop/Vanillizer/Nothing (P244)
Did I miss the rest of Shadow's abilities or was that not claimed.

And does Ruma’s claim count as an investigative role? Or does the R/P/S kind of ruin traditional role slots of a game?
Strawberries and raspberries.
I chose scissors.
What do you mean did everyone target Cantrip? He had only been the target of a single person as per what Grape claimed.
