I went 4-0 last night with my current list. 2-1 Against GDS, 2-1 Against Jeskai Control, 2-0 in the Jund Mirror and 2-1 Against Bant Eldrazi.
A friend convinced me to put Ob Nix in the side against E-Tron and GDS and it was actually insane last night. My meta has zero scapeshift and the only tron variant is E-Tron. Plenty of U/W, Jeskai and Esper variants which is why I put Light & Shadow in the side.
that suxs. the one time i have money for a jund deck, its struggling
It's actually having a little resurgence at the moment. It is now above Abzan on Goldfish as far as percentages. Not to mention all it takes is 1 unban or new card to make JUND tier 1 again.
last night at my FNM I went 4-1 splashing Blue for The Scarab God (I love this card and just wanted to play it) I took out a basic swamp for a watery grave and holy hell The Scarab God is ridiculous in mid-range matchups and single handedly won me game 2 against E-Tron. (re-animate TKS in his draw step and his all is dust did nothing as I just re-casted it)
I won a game against burn by reanimating my Kitchen Finks which was hilarious.
probably the most fun I had playing JUND. I jammed 3 disdainful strokes in the side as well which was gas against ETRON and Scapeshift.
I am wandering if I should cut one Push and add a Grim Lavamancer.
let me know how you go! I went 4-1 last night and surprisingly got stomped by Affinity 0-2. Last week I got wrecked by affinity as well so it may be time to put in shatterstorm and grim lavamancer in my 75 in addition to my x2 ancient grudge.
Hazoret was insane the whole tournament, I loved it. I just wish I would have played vs grixis DS a bit more. Hazy absolutely seals the game in that matchup, I didnt play against DS until day 2 when i was already dead for top 8. I did however play vs tron 4 times and went 2-2, the wins involved blood moon draws and the losses where those games that I didn't have the moons. Matchup is just so hard.
My buddy Michael Olson finished top 32, we had a pretty similar list. He decided to go against blood moon in favor of fulminator mage. But I convinced him into running a Hazoret and he told me that it was great for him. He had a split of 1 kalitas and 1 hazy, where I had 2 Hazorets. In retrospect, maybe I should have had that same split with Kalitas, since Kalitas is great vs matter reshaper and races tron pretty well, I just thought that DS was going to be more popular. But I was wrong, tron was everywhere!
I've been on the Hazoret train since day one. She can be straight ridiculous in some matchups and is the real deal. I'm glad you guys felt the same way.
Hi guys, I wondered if anyone had tried The Scorpion God lately. And how dis it sent ? I have a pptq this saturday, and I don't have an Hazoret ans don't think I'm going to fond one un time. So I'm seeking for replacement against Eldratron ans GDS.
Best regards !
I think nobody considered testing this card yet, don't think its helping all that much against Eldratron and GDS.
Well I didn't had high hopes. ^^
So, Hazoret apart, do you know a maindeck-able good card against those match-ups ?
Thanks for your reply by the way !
maybe ask to borrow Hazoret? she is insanely good against E-Tron and GDS.
Last night I played with x4 Evil Presence in my sideboard and I was actually impressed how it was able to make big mana decks stumble enough so that I could win. Obviously need more testing but it felt much better than Fulminator.
Has this card been forgotten somehow? It definitely looks much better than Fulminator against big mana decks, being relevant also on the draw.
I ordered a playset of these, have to try em out.
yea I top 4'd a 50+ man tournament yesterday and anytime I went up against any tron variants and had 1 in my opening hand it was crucial in me winning the game. It's cheap and allows us to curve out properly. Fulminator always felt terrible. I don't wanna spend 3 mana casting a 2/2 that may or may not even effect the board.

Wizards just announced that the "Planeswalker rule" has changed and we can have 2 of the same planeswalker as long as they have different names. Does this mean we jam 1-2 Liliana, The Last Hope in the main? Having BOTH LOTV and Last Hope out at the same time seems pretty good.
Thoughts on this Blue Jund list? I took inspiration from the 7th Place list from Tom Bentley at the SCG IQ. I felt like he was on to something splashing blue for snap. I think the mana maybe needs work but I went 4-1 last night with (drew very poorly against GDS) BUT the deck felt REALLY strong against Tron variants and scapeshift after sideboarding.

question is do we move them to the main or keep them in the side with the new ruling
