No, I don't think so. It's somewhat inconsistent and likely has a lot of matchups that swing hard one way or another. When it's working, it is an awesome deck and, with judicious mulligans, capable of t4-5 kill unhindered. But, that's not fast enough to be pure aggro and, at the least the BBE version, doesn't have enough late game.
Gerry talking up the Bant Eldrazi on SCG-p site. Suggesting we might be strong in the new BBE era. His list looked basically like what I ran at States last year. I don't know if it's just what's old becoming new again, but I thought I'd check in here to see if there's been new advances on the archetype. The lsat few posts aren't necessarily encouraging. I've been every flavor of our favorite monsters since I felt like Bant fell off quickly about 10 months ago.
Ran the RG last night in a local and it felt pretty strong, went 3-1, but as stated above even with t3 TKS against AdNaus they're too redundant and the deck can't race it.
I will be running that new indestructible land, since I'm still on the 3 EE mainboard plan being able to have a colorless sword that can't be GQ as well as the ability to cast my EE from 0 to 5 sounds great.
I was seriously lamenting that last night. I top decked EE across from Kiki-chord, looked at the 4cmc Resto on the board and sighed.
Hey guys, infrequent poster.
I've been playing modern for a little over a year, I've been playing our deck for the last 4 months with some good results (top 8 in this year's states!).
One thing I've been struggling with is getting over the finish line, and I've been wondering about borrowing some tech from a deck like Infect.
Distortion Strike or, probably better for us, Slip Through Space to make sure we connect and the card draw doesn't suck.
Yeah, in a good game we can Drowner lock, but I just hate getting into a board state against an opponent like Knightfall or Merfolk and suddenly they've gone tall and wide and I'm shut of of pushing the last few points.

So I look back to Bant, my old friend. The newer list eschewing Path for Thalia is super threat dense.

The sideboard is what has me flummoxed. Are the bad matchups fixed as simply as 4x GY hate, 3x Artifact Hate, 4x Blow it up, 4x counter it.
lol it's kinda genius.

This is interesting to me because I always thought that we are the controlling deck in the affinity matchup, post board.
Your suggestion is to race them, rather than lower your curve and attempt to control the board?

FWIW, Last night:
R1 0/2 8Rack
R2 0/2 Skred
R3 1/2 Kiki
R4 Bye.
