I'm really liking 1x batterskull and 2 ratchet bomb in SB: ratchet gives extra power against elves and linear aggro strategies and can destroy blood moon easier than EE, or destroy a pithing needle naming EE.
This week I'm going to test -2 stony silence and +2 ceremonial rejection in SB. I think this change remains reasonable against affinity and improves odds against Eldratron.
Another test I will do is -1 cage and +1 Hallowed Moonlight (still hits dredge and CoCo, but also Living End, tokens...)
With displacer you can:
(1) blink eternal witness to do infinite path to exile/EE;
(2) control opponent's hand with TKS.
If you really needs a silver bullet I recommend hushwing gryff, he will disable all sister's triggers, but also the TKS, skysprawner and drowner. In this case the eldrazis will be stronger and you can win attacking with the 4/4 and 5/5 creatures.
Against soul sisters I think with path or EE + witness + displacer you could win very easily. I never had problems. The best creature against them is smasher and TKS (exiling ranger of eos).
Had my first 0-2 loss against burn with me being on the play both games. I had a turn 4 kill in my hand (Rhonas smasher) but he had a helix which got him to a safe life total, and didn't curve out well the other game (had 3 turns to draw into a tks or smasher).
I'm wondering about a singleton Lone Missionary. It's almost strictly better than blessed alliance against burn. It also has some use in any racing scenario where we need to be on the board quickly such as Merfolk and serves a similar function as thragtusk as giving us infinite life in a board stall.
Here the meta is very aggressive, with several burns and even monoR goblins, so I replaced 2 drowners for 2 thragtusk maindeck, which is a good finisher + displacer too. Another more desperate option would be 1 worship maindeck.
Hi guys,
I was seeing pascal Maynard playing humans company and I thought about bant eldrazi: why we don't play reflector mage?
Right now, the 3 drops played for the deck are: sky spawner, reshaper, eternal witness, displacer.
I think eldrazi displacer is a 4of in almost every lists so they are in.
Skyspawner: ramp effect, 2/1 flyer against affinity and two bodies for 3 mana ( relevant against really fast aggro to stabilize ). It's also nice to play around blood moon
Reshaper: great blocker and great against removals, it seems to me great in fair matchup were our deck is already favorite. Sometimes hard to cast because of the <> cost. It doesn't do nothing until it dies
Eternal witness: almost the same as reshaper, she's good in fair matchups when we are already favorite. She's a bit slow and sometimes hard to cast.reat synergy with displacer
Reflector mage: it affects the board when it enters the battlefield, it's great against death shadow and eldra tron, can slow down many decks. Differently from reshaper, he has uses even in matchups where reshaper is a dead card ( example: vs storm to bounce the 2 mana creatures, versus company to bounce a piece of the combo etc.. ). It has great synergy with displacer ( could be a lock if opponent doesn't have removal ) and great synergy with thought-knot ( bounce with mage, than exile with seer the turn after ). It has sometimes problems with the cost, but I seem to have more often uw mana than double green ( witness cost ). We can name human with cavern
So I'm inclined to play mage in this meta along with sky spawner to have a faster deck. I would play something like this, a 5 mana dorks list:
I was reviewing your post and thought another option that can be used with displacer (like witness, reflector and reshaper: Vendilion Clique. It can work as a fifth TKS, has a better clock and can help in difficult matches (combo/control).
Thanks for the tip (damping matrix). I suggested Suppression Field initially because when we are on the draw we need something in turn 2 to avoid the combo in turn 3. Another advantage is that also affects fetchs (they use 8-9) and mostly gavony.
Against Counters Company I'm testing Walking Ballista and Suppression Field (yes, its weird).
Walking Ballista: can kill vizier, dorks and Viscera Seer, and its also ok against Elves.
Suppression Field: its a fast, stops all infinite combos and Disrupts all key cards: gavony, fetch lands, Scavenging Ooze, Viscera Seer, Walking Ballista, Duskwatch Recruiter, Devoted Druid, Qasali Pridemage, Rhonas, BUT unfortunately also disrupts: Engineered explosives, our fetches (only 4), Drowner (tap) and Displacer.
In these cases I'm doing:
-4 displacer (More expensive activated ability), or -4 skysprawner if you dont care about evasion.
+2 cages
+2 Suppression Field
This way the Sfield will buy extra time to put in play high impact cards (smasher, TKS, drowner), then the gameplan is put pressure and be careful with CoCo.
To players who are having problems with counters company, I think Suppression Field could be a good option for Side, because pitting needle/rip doesn't stop all combos, linvala is very slow, and we dont have so many removals like grixis shadow.
I know it affects us a lot too, but it's better than loose the match and our dudes are bigger.

Unfortunately in Xmage I don't find many counter's company players to do more testing. Anyway, it's a very difficult match.
I know it affects us a lot too, but it's better than loose the match and our dudes are bigger.
