Yeah I'm not actually criticizing the frenetic pace of the game, because that is purely a personal opinion type of thing. Just not my thing.
It's cool that you guys are doing things differently this time. Good luck with it. Giving the Cop a free investigation in an Open setup is interesting. I would expect the town to be slightly favored there normally anyway, given how much power a mafia team loses in an Open game. Just goes to show you how powerful '48 hour day periods' are for a scum team, I suppose.
It's worth noting that I found this to be a completely abysmal experiment and wouldn't do it again even if it were offered to me(flattering though that may be). Their mafia day periods last a flat 48 hours, with night period lasting like..6? And the game we were in featured an absurd amount of scum. I would reasonably expect the scum teams to win 70% of the games hosted under this arrangement, due to their sizing, # of roles, and the general chaos of the gamestate. It wasn't fun at all, even though I was on the winning scum team(truthfully I never really got my footing and got aggressively vigged N1, but that has nothing to do with my perspective on the setup itself).
Looking over what Azrael copied, I see that some of my grievances have been addressed, mostly the 'actual game setup' ones. I think Iso could do okay in the environment that they use. It just wasn't for me.
