Mainly because it's not a white card for Martyr, it doesn't come back either by Emeria OR by Proclamation of Rebirth, and the beater side is not better than an active Serra Ascendant anyway.
It's a piece that works with one part of the synergies that make the deck run, but not the other main one, and it's a lot less efficient to boot.

Well, I can saw a woman in two, but you won't wanna look in the box when I'm through.
I've had an argument in a stream chat with someone telling me to try Providence in MartyrProc and then getting upset when I told him that it is literally the worst card I can think of for this deck... he then claimed I wasn't being open minded enough.

Doesn't work against RG Valakut - because how Deflecting Palm is worded, it deals them 3 damage and then the remaining however many goes through to you.

I dont want to be offensive, so please dont take it so, but when I read that Stony Silence is good against Eldrazi, I can´t take your post serious. How many Games did you play this Deck, when you think Stony Silence is a good SB Card against them?
It shuts down the Relics and the Scrabbling Claws, which makes it more difficult to disrupt our graveyard plan.
It doesn't shut down the deck, but it does stop them from disrupting our plans.

Since I've been messing around with this deck on Cockatrice, I've learned that currently we are very weak to Tooth and Nail decks, but since those are only fringe (aka, only people on Cockatrice play it) we should be fine.

Just finished rounds 1 and 2 of a modern league I'm in yesterday, piloting Next Level MartyProc (WR with an idyllic tutor package for hate cards and general utility). Beat both Kiki-Chord and Grixis Control fairly convincingly. Hoping the rest of my rounds continue to follow suite, and I can manage similar results at GP Melbourne. If my testing is anything to go by though, I should be able to keep this up.
Would you be able to furnish us with a list? I'm curious to see what you're running.

Dunno how you play without Proclamation. In most midrange\control games Proc always wins me game.
It helps to stabalise in late game and to draw more cards and options to kill opponent. Also I go in Proc circiling much earlier when Emeria starts working. (I'm playing monoW btw)
Cutting Proc is a lot sketchier in mono-white. In BW, you have Orzhov Charm as a panic button- "Oh, my opponent is going to kill me- Charm, block with my newly revived Martyr, gain 12 life."
I also like Proc in the Jund matchup- being able to go turn 3 Proc, getting Ascendant, Ascendant, Martyr is a beating. I guess perhaps we should be discussing moving the Procs to the board for matchups where they shine.
I think the main advantage of Proc over going all in on the Emeria plan is specifically that you can use Proc to apply further pressure early in the game- the situations in which you cast a Proc over saving it for the forecast is a very important judgement call you have to learn.

As I said earlier- there is another deck in the format at the moment that is more or less all in on the Emeria-grinding plan, which goes to show that the Emeria engine is very powerful.
The only issue I have with cutting Procs is that I think it gives Grixis Control a significantly better game against you post-board, because they can start using Kolaghan's Command and Fulminator Mage to keep hitting your Emerias and to disrupt your mana for a while. But I haven't tested the matchup without Procs (haven't played the deck much at all, recently, to be honest), so take that issue with a large grain of salt.

Crucible in the main as well as Aven Mindcensor would improve the Tron matchup quite a bit, but I'm not sure if it would improve it enough to make it worth it.

I've been speaking with Demannic and he's said that he's honestly considered cutting the Proclamation of Rebirths. I can see that, on two provisos: first, you would only cut the Procs in an Orzhov list, where you have other ways to revive things in the early game when you need too (Orzhov Charm), and second, that it makes the deck a fair bit weaker to land destruction.
If you cut the Proclamations in the Orzhov version, the question is what do you run in its place? I'd consider running a Crucible just to try to avoid the issue of having an Emeria GC'd or Tec Edged, and possibly a Sun Titan as extra insurance.
Does the thread have any other ideas? I'm not entirely sure about the cutting Proclamation plan, but we have another deck running around at the moment that shows that the Emeria plan is remarkably powerful if you can get it to work- possibly to the point where running Proclamations might simply be unnecessary if you have enough other ways of reanimating things in the early game.

Well, I can saw a woman in two, but you won't wanna look in the box when I'm through.
I would hope someone can clarify an item in the primer:
Proclamation of Rebirth: The other half of the deck's name. This card allows you to abuse the efficient life gain from martyr. It also lets you get back your win-conditions. Should be saved for the forecast activations, but can be used as a solid 3 for 1 mid game.
Breaking down my questions:
How does this abuse the life gain from Martyr? The cards are brought to play, not to your hand. Or am I missing something? Or is this just to bring martyr back to play? In a world of path to exile, how good is this?
What win conditions does this get back? Martyr? Or just the beaters to get things started again?
Should be saved for forecast. How many times does this deck finds itself in a situation where it has 6 lands in play, and a hand with 2-3 white cards?
Thanks.
If you think your opponent will be playing Path to Exile, never cast a Martyr without leaving a mana up so you can activate it in response, gaining a bit of life, and putting it into the graveyard for the Proclamation of Rebirth to be forecast again.
This deck is very good at filling its hand, and very good at stalling. We almost always end up with a situation where we have 7 or so lands and at least 5 cards in hand that we can use to gain life. The only times I haven't have been when I've either had to mull to 5, or if I'm playing against a combo deck that can kill me before I can get my engine online- Infect, Amulet, and RG Tron being the specific ones I've had trouble with.
