@darktutor I really like the list you posted! Was a long time dead guy ale player and always loved the control/denial aspects of D&T. Have you had any more success with this build? Be been lurking on the D&T thread, but it seems to be all over the place..
The lands are a mess right now I haven't done enough testing to get a feel for the right distribution. I'm only splashing red because I feel like the deck's biggest weakness is life gain and the right removal. terminate helps get rid of cards like victim of night/dismember, that can't hit everything. lightning helix is still removal with added life gain that can also be thrown at the opponents face. splashing red also opens up our sideboard for Kolaghan's command and crumble to dust against tron which feels like our worst match up. I think pack rat, in our attrition based strategy, is our best wincon. I used to run mutavault, but it wasn't always necessary to get the rat train rolling... I also kinda agree with siriusB that though i did like the percy wargear combo, it wasnt always reliable to get the pieces together. would love to hear any feedback you guys have with a small splash for red
My record so far against Tron is 3-2. tidehollow sculler ive found works well against them. that extra hand disruption helps, and it doesnt allow for emrakul, the aeons torn to be shuffled back in their library. Or you can force them to use a kill spell to take out tidehollow.
Congrats on the win(s)! Overall I like your deck. Mine is very similar to yours but I run liliana instead of gatekeeper, 2 jotun grunt(because he has great synergy with liliana)and yes 2 kitchen finks. grafted wargear works quite well with all the creatures in this deck.
Sorry that was suppose to be a reply to coldnight. It would be interesting to compare his list with abyssal persecutor vs Sirius' list with percy. Seeing as they both have had success.
Sirius, so if you had bobs back and knowing what you know now, what would be the list you would use? I saw you put back In lingering souls, but what made you leave out urborg and keep in so many basic lands? And no slaughter pact, or dismember/ darkblast?
Engineered explosives would work great against zoo. Zealous persecution is always a nice surprise and a game changer. You can block and kill any zoo creature with a surprise zealous persecution also his sideboard looks like it could definitely handle zoo game 2. His land base also contains less colorless so you are much more likely to get the lands you need.
Will try to test the winning build this week, but do not like blade splicer or the murderous cuts... Maybe 2 dismember? And 1 brimaz?
Great news for this deck with a states win. Been playing a variation of this deck since its inception and I must say, in this format it does well! can handle most decks game 1, has an excellent sideboard. Don't like murderous cut in the deck. Not sure what to think... But I'm not winning tournaments he is... Anyone test this?
So I'm playing a BWr version of this deck. I really liked how much removal you could carry between Bolt, Helix, Path, Pact, and Dreadbore. Here is the decklist. I would love opinions on it. I'm also getting back into magic after like 6 years, so if you guys could suggest better cards for what I'm trying to do that would be helpful as well
I'm kinda digging this build.. Would def try to fit in sorin solemn visitor. That lifelink and +1 buff works wonders in this deck... Also being able to burn down your opponent would be great. I've never played with you g pyromancer, but pack rat is a thing. Maybe swap 3 rats in its place and try to fit 4 bobs in there?
Haven't been on the forum for awhile, but I have had great success with this deck. With that being said has anyone tried adding red? Basically be rwu control but replacing blue cards like thought scour and spell pierce with thoughtseize, slaughter pact ect.

Im trying out kitchen finks in place of sorin solemn visitor to cut down on the cmc but still help out with lifegain. Also makes 2 extra targets for grafted wargear.
