@Hakim: flesh Carver seems good for the deck at first glance but takes a lot of time to get going. The Mana cost to active his ability will get annoying as well. Overall if you put time to get him going you can probably shell out a 4/4 every few turns (if not bigger) but there is so much more you can be doing. (btw this guy got cut from my deck very early after playing with him a few times). if you are looking for a new sac outlet Falkenrath Aristocrat all the way
See hambone, that's what I mean, regent is way way different. Regent is the kind of creature I was talking about where the trigger is actually not that worthwhile. The differences between the two are small but end up making a world of difference:
You bring up very good and valid points, two vampires that do very similar things but the small differences are huge in this type of deck. Can't wait to try her out!
If she is real I think she fits in really well, gives you an option to not attack the highest player(or if its you) depending on the board state and if you do attack the the dethrone player you get more counters. But in a way it could also be a win more type of card. Compared to Necropolis Regent it does kinda the same thing but with less counters. With that said she is a heck of alot cheaper then the Regent and in most cases you just need one counter on your guy to abuse Sac/recurring ETB effects. I think it depends on the list but I think she would be a solid choice in a Marchesa Deck
Hmmm seems like it could do some nasty things with a sac outlet. attack for 5 (w/ +1/+1), sac for 5 more. and that's if it has only one counter on it. repeat.
@Decimator1 I play Shadowmage Infiltrator, even before he was spoiled. Nets you cards early, and most people just ignore him.
I'm just curious why aren't there a lot of people running Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots? I was able to find space to squeeze the two and I'm really happy protecting Marchesa and at the same times having her take early assault first, then follow up the following turns with guaranteed dethrone triggers.
your in red so there are better MASS haste and you should not mind if your guys die. sure it might help once in awhile but probably not worth a slot
Has anyone tried / had success with Murderous Redcap? I was considering including him but couldn't find any discussion on him here and thought that was odd.
I'd say its a Meta call, If there are a lot of utility creatures that you play against it should be pretty good, but saying that you could just find a card that destroys something when ETB.
What do you guys think of Youthful Scholar. With all the sac outlets in the deck should not be a problem to kill him. Compared to Moriok Replica it cost one more and is a human but with your sac outlets not wasting mana for the cost and the life (granted the life loss may be a pro for the Replica).
Would you change your deck if your meta shifted to what I am describing?
His Removal/Toolbox section would be a great place to start to look at if these cards would be needed in your Meta or not. From there id play the deck and adjust cards that you feel are under preforming for you with your Meta.
Steal from the graves, attack with them to get the +1/+1 then sac
Loss of life to get off the throne
with many Sac outlets you wont have to fret about his draw back.
Can get your own creatures back from your grave as well.

His ability is triple Black but with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth should not be a problem
