After a couple more bites the man got up and walked back out of the wagon. A few minutes later and the caravan jolted to a start once again. The rest of the journey was largely uneventful.
The wagon tilted backwards slightly as the heavyset man climbed up onto the back. and threw the flap open. light flooded into rear of the wagon and the man headed towards the rear. He stopped just short of the hidden thief and began rustling through some of the barrels. Finally he let out a contented sigh and slid down right next to Locke and took a large bite of his apple. He apparently hadn't noticed the stowaway yet but at this distance the oathbreaker doubted that his spell would be enough to hide him should the man turn in his direction.
The ride was smooth and after a while Locke eventually drifted off to sleep. He awoke to a the caravan he was hiding in shuddering to a stop. There were a couple of thumps as the driver and navigator of his particular wagon swung themselves to the ground. Locke heard footsteps heading towards him from the front.
Gruff Man - "Eve, did you remember to pack the apples? I'm starving."
Heavily Accented Woman - "Of course my dear, they're in the back."
Jakari wasn't partial to inns, preferring to sleep among the brotherhood, but it was hell out here.He walked through the door and shook the rain from his mane.
There was an orange barely visible aura around the brothers as they flew to their destination. The cut didn't heal on its own but they found that applying flames to it did in fact heal the wound. Their trip was mostly uneventful, although they did pass over a large heard of sheep. The Sheppard gawked at them as they flew by.
A lone Jakari stepped out of the forest and looked out over the great road. He didn't know where he was going but his heart led him towards Epicrin, though he didn't know it. He started along the path. He kept a wary eye out. You never know when you'll meet a stranger on the road, and he hadn't had the best of luck with strangers.
Nervada's journey was perfectly normal... Except for the hailstorm that went on for two days. The warrior had never seen hail stones so big in his life.
Snakeitsu left the soiled clothing but collected the dagger and coins. He uncorked the bottle of wine and proceeded to enjoy it on the rest of his journey to Epicrin.
