In an attempt to help, Jebidiah waited for Darla's strike to connect/miss then threw his silken dagger and had it burst into webbing before impact hoping to entangle the thing. He also shot an arrow hoping to distract it even the tiniest bit from his allies.
Jebidiah began drawing the string and firing the dragon bone arrows towards the insects. Not being that practiced, he simply aimed for center mass and hoped for the best. He also made sure his shield was ready on his right arm while too looked for options to get past.
"Our intentions are to free Celeste from the parasite that has invaded her mind and is turning it against itself. In this course, we seek to cause no harm to her, hence why we seek your blessing instead of destroying the guardians at the door. Will you give us the blessing so that we may carry on and free her from this parasite?" Jebidiah asked with an unwavering calm in his voice.
"We have come to seek your blessing to continue towards the castle. Please, give us a sign or tell us how we are to receive it." Jebidiah said while looking around the room for anything else that might stand out.
Jebidiah stood ready behind Darla, waiting to step in front of her if something hostile showed up. Should nothing show up, he would take point with his shield at the ready.
Jebidiah raised his voice, "Hello singer in the tree! We come to seek a blessing!"
He turned to Darla, "The simplest way is to ask. Worst case I can try to float up there."
"Are you able to tell us what it takes to get his blessing?" Jebidiah asked, hoping it would be easier than the implication of them taking out the two guardians.
Jebidiah took a look at the ground, He wanted to make sure they were not walking back over their tracks or veering off course. "I suspect that tree is going to make itself an issue here soon."
"We have enough resources that we can examine both in some capacity. We should continue pressing forwards towards the castle, keeping the tree in sight when possible so as to avoid unpleasant surprises. While going forward, we should send some summons over to the tree and see what happens to them. We only need one owl as a front guard. Any opposition?" Jebidiah said while he glanced around them to confirm they were still not being approached by other dream creatures.
