Besides the not-mandatory, but much-appreciated, position as most active poster from the Clan, the Clan Rep will be the point of communication if the mods need to discuss something sensitive that pertains to their Clan. Probably through PM thread.
I can't think of any examples, but I'd like to keep the position around to be prepared for the unforeseen. Best case scenario, you all get a prestigious tag under your name for doing absolutely nothing .

I'll bet you wish you had a non-unglued/unhinged card that shared your first name.
Chemtrails decided to step down from moderating because school wouldn't let up on him. So now everything is my fault alone until CharlieD gets back
I'm planning on putting up all the new forum changes on thursday, but there's one change in particular I want to discuss with all of you.
With the introduction of a Clan General Discussion thread, we mods felt that the council thread will have lost all reason for use. So this thread would likely be retired. Any official Clan Rep business, which I think would mostly be down to discussing any problems that form between clans, would be taken care of in PM discussions.
The main reason for this change, is that I see no reason for the current system to exist. I see no benefit in demanding that only a select few can speak up about forum issues and all others need to communicate through their Reps. Discouraging communication between members does nothing but separate each clan from each other.
Thoughts? Counterpoints?

Sounds good! When do we change to this system (and when I can start planning next CC?)
Well, we were hoping for more responses from reps before we change over...
As for planning, you can certainly get started. With the new system, there would be no schedule. Just people who are interested playing in contests whenever they want to, for points.

I'm sorry I forgot to re-introduce myself earlier everyone.
I'm busying myself learning the new workings of the curse forums, as well as starting a new school year and other life busy-ness. Things should calm down shortly, however, and then we mods will get to work in earnest.

I'll poke Chemtrails about this when he wakes up.
