An averagely-built, tan-skinned, brown-eyed teenage boy with brown hair which he doesn’t bother keeping particularly neat. Talnin wears a vest with pouches for various medical remedies, fingerless gloves, and carries a wumpus-skin sling bag where he keeps his personal effects.
He has a likeable albeit somewhat mischievous-looking face, and carries himself with youthful confidence.
Concept sketch:
Background, pre-Estark
As one of the few people capable of utilising magic in his community, Talnin spent most of his years apprenticing alongside the town’s high cleric. Although there was no denying that the boy’s heart was in the right place and that he was a natural in protective and healing magics, Talnin was always restless.
He longed for a life with adventure and imagined himself as a practitioner of ‘frontier magical medicine’, where he could learn more about both his abilities and the rest of the world.
Finally, when he was 16, Talnin was kicked out of the town (not permanently, though) for giving the high cleric a little too much cheek. The general consensus was that Talnin was both old enough and responsible enough to take care of himself. And after all, what could be the harm with a little character-building time in the city of Estark?
